New test build and and new development blogs channel
I've thought about how to do it properly and decided that short summaries will be posted here, and most development posts will be in separate channel.
So the first thing is, here is new channel: /channel/kotatogram_dev
I've started with attempt to update patches-track-4.8.4 branch to 4.14. Suprisingly, it took less time than I expected, so I've built the new test version, taking a little of 4.14.1 and some commits after it. Note that bugs aren't fixed there, but it supports everything TDesktop 4.14 have.

New version is out!
1.4.8 (TD 3.3)
This release is unexpected, but important because of severe crash in Saved Messages. If you haven't caught it, you're in luck, but it's better to update anyway.
Changes
• Better font settings. Thanks to the @Shlyupa's work, there is now a full list of fonts after an each font name field, and also there is a slider to change font size. Earlier font size could be changed only through JSON settings. I've only added a "+" before non-negative numbers to give you a hint that font size is relative.
Fixes
• Fixed severe crash in Saved Messages.
• Fixed non-clickable part of message author name if there an icon near it.

1.4.6 (TD 3.3)
With this version starts the support of sponsored messages from Telegram. I'll remind that it's necessary change because without support of these messages the app is at risk of disabling via API ID. Also all previous version have lost the ability to open the channels with content forwarding and saving restriction enabled. This version supports these channels with support for this restriction.
This version has some known bugs, and there was no time to fix them since there is a need to release as soon as possible. Maybe there will be found the other bugs in beta. But there not just new sources and new bugs: contributors also have added some new features that you may like.
Changes:
• Ability to disable remembering image compression when sending. Added by contributor.
• Custom auto-replaces now work without emoji replacement enabled. Added by contributor.
• Removed window size restriction. Added by contributor.
Fixes:
• Fixed tg:// link protocol in system. It must solve browser links problems.
• Fixed "External video player" option.
Known bugs:
• Crash when opening animated profile picture in picture-in-picture mode.
• Automatic downloading of media doesn't work. Noticed on 32-bit Windows version, 64-bit Windows version works fine.

Telegram is actively forcing the apps to update because of transition to 64-bit chat IDs.
I recommend to everyone who receives "Please update Telegram to the latest version" error to update to beta version 1.4.4 or to temporarily use other updated apps.
In the coming days I hope to release stable version on same TD sources as 1.4.4.
After the stable release it's important to release another one. Telegram has introduced sponsored messages (or to put it simply, advertisements) in the public channels who have more than 1000 subscribers. Support for these messages in apps must be done before January 1, 2022, otherwise there is a risk of ban for app by API ID.
Recently Telegram has received the update which adds themes for separate chats (in private messages). Many users didn't like this feature, so I'm glad to announce that you can disable it in Kotatogram Settings in next versions.
But before that I'm offering you the little poll about how this option should be named.

Test versions
While update was delayed I've been releasing test versions in chat. They were too unstable for beta and I wanted to collect relatively quick feedback for them. But they had problems too: auto-updating and versioning.
So I've decided to make separate test branches. But first there are few warnings.
• They can be highly unstable. Because of that you shouldn't use your main profile.
• They're updated separately. Test versions can be updated to test version of same branch, but not to stable/beta.
To prevent mixing test versions with stable and beta, they will be published to separate channel: t.me/KotatogramTestVersions.
Bug reports for them are accepted in t.me/kotatochat.

It hasn't been updated for a long time, and was practically abandoned. But I've decided to fix it, give it a better template, and add info to it from time to time.
What's done now:
• Updated feature list. In future I'm planning to make separate page for every feature, but for now at least there is an updated list.
• Answers to frequently asked questions. For now there are only questions at hand, but it's possible that this list will be expanded eventually.
• Separate page for downloading. Because I have been asked "How to download?".
• Blog. There I will post big change logs, post site news and write about other things related to Kotatogram.
Also there are comments made with comments.app by Telegram.
Where is the fork update?
Good news: fork will be released in coming days. Currently there is a final bug-catching and waiting for translators. If you're a translator, check Crowdin page!
Next version 1.4 is planned in stable branch even if there will be few hard-to-catch bugs. Too many bugs slowed the release already.
About Kotatogram's state
The silence has been gone too long, and with it more people asking in comments, why, or some even consider the app dead.
So I'm telling it once again: Kotatogram isn't dead. I don't have enough time for it, but there's a progress.
Since I was tired of countless merge conflicts, I've made patches-track branch. This is an additional branch, where each change stored in separate commit instead of chronological order. It allows me to see what is broken in each feature. Currently it's paused on 4.1.1.
However, there's a second branch, which is paused on 4.8.4, and named, of course, patches-track-4.8.4. Main work is happening on it. Sadly, there's a lot to fix still.
So when is the update?
I'll explain: "soon" is the reference to Telegram's tweet "Soon." (which I frequently use as a sticker), and actually means that there's no specific release date.
However, maybe it makes sense to make some posts about what's happening in terms of Kotatogram work, so it would be much clearer on which state it is. I'm not sure if I should publish them here, or it's better to make a separate channel for them.
Also I've decided to resurrect the channel with test versions and uploading ones that I use to test the features. Please note that they're not expected to be stable.

1.4.7 (TD 3.3)
Last release in this year which is needed because who knows what happen if stable branch won't receive update until January 1. Luckily, the "make it before January 1" thing is not the only point of the release: new features are also in stock.
Changes since last beta version
• Instead of removing window size restiction minimum window size was changed. It solves the same problem, but at least window is not breaking until the point it's not usable.
• Ability to switch accounts by hotkeys.
• Added icon near the author name in message.
• Message about unsupported mode is now shown when opening animated profile picture in picture-in-picture mode. Implementing PiP for animated profile pictures is hard, but leaving the crash as-is is a bad idea, so it's disabled there until better days.
Fixes since last beta version
• Fixed ranks in admin list.
• Fixed automatic downloading of media files in 32-bit Windows version.

1.4.5 (TD 3.1.1)
This version is not much different from 1.4.4, apart from some bug fixes and moving to stable branch. Stable branch, besides existing crash because of chats with 1 month auto-deletion, now have new problem. Users can't login in this version anymore, and on the top of that there are constant messages that insist on updating.
Fixes since latest beta version
• Fixed caption sending modes in unquoted forward. Fixed by user.
• Fixed "Qt scaling" option. Fixed by @Shlyupa.
• Removed duplicate of GIF button in shared media.
• Fixed animated emoji size.
• Fix custom font size scale. Fixed by @Shlyupa.
Where is the macOS version?
It hasn't built because of a build process error, so it's postponed for now. It will appear as soon as it's fixed. I'll remind that macOS versions are very experimental since neither me nor @Shlyupa who helped to make them, don't have any macOS device, so we're practically blind when it's needed to build them or debug them.

Important: this version contains user IDs update which was introduced in latest Telegram update. Without it new users won't be able to register in Telegram, and old users, probably, won't be able to use apps before this update.

1.4 (TD 2.7.1)
Months have passed since last update but stable version is now released. Moreover, that version is based on new Telegram Desktop sources which means that it contains all its features: comments multi-pins, voice chats in groups and channels, temporary invite links and more.
But this release is not only about sources update, it would happen earlier otherwise. Some big features were promoted from beta version to stable:
• Local folders. They have no limits for chat count in folder, pinned chats count or folder name length (there are only technical limits, but it's nearly impossible to hit them with common usage). Also they have expanded limits for icons and filters (in "Exclude chats").
• Unquoted forward. Even though breaking of this feature provoked such a long delay in updates, it has been fixed up to maximum and brought to stable version. Because of it you can now forward messages as copies without "Forwarded from" tag. It works with nearly all message types: e.g. you can copy polls like this. But if you'll forward poll unquoted to private chat, tag will be preserved, because you can't create polls in PMs.
Aside of big features, there are many smaller features, and if I'll describe them in full, then I'll hit 4096 symbols limit. So I decided to make separate page for changelog on my site.
