THE PRESENT PERFECT IS USED TO DESCRIBE

🔮1. An action or situation that started in the
past and continues in the present.

I have lived in Bristol since 1984 (= and I still do.)

🔮2. An action performed during a period that
has not yet finished.

She has been to the cinema twice this week
(= and the week isn't over yet.)

🔮3. A repeated action in an unspecified period
between the past and now.

We have visited Portugal several times.

🔮4. An action that was completed in the very
recent past, expressed by 'just'.

I have just finished my work.

🔮5. An action when the time is not important.

He has read 'War and Peace'. (= the result of his
reading is important)

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

💡Tip: Wednesday is commonly misspelled.

💡Tip: The first ‘r’ in February is often forgotten.

💡Tip: Sometimes verbs are conjugated for gender, tense, etc. The difference could give you an incorrect answer.

beautiful, necessary, fantastic, comfortable, convenient, wonderful, terrible, temporary, permanent, knowledgeable, various

 
🔹Numbers, times, and currencies also commonly appear in Part 1 of the listening test. Recording the corresponding number or symbol is suggested because this will help eliminate the possibility of spelling the word incorrectly.

 
🔸For example, thirty dollars is the same as $30 on the listening test. Also, six o’clock and 6:00 are the same as well. Finally, ten thousand and 10,000
