توضیح: لغت backfired بدین مفهوم اشاره می کند که نه تنها نتیجه ای از عمل نادرست نگرفته ای بلکه نتیجه ای عکس داشت. به یک مثال دیگر توجه فرمایید.

معمولا" زمانی که بخواهیم به همراهی و یا استفاده از چیزی اشاره کنیم:

من همراه با جمعیت قدم زدم/ در کنارشون و نه در میان آنها

✳️Via:

🔆به معنی: از راه/ از طریق و ..
معمولا" وقتی استفاده میشه که شما از طریق چیزی یا بوسیله ‌ی چیزی به جایی برسید :
I headed home via my mother's house.
من از راه خانه مادرم به سمت خانه ام می روم

✳️Through:

🔆به معنی: از میان/ از وسط / از توی
معمولا" در جایی استفاده میشه که بخواهیم به عبور از میان جایی یا چیزی اشاره کنیم:

🔷🔸ازدواج کردن

🔹برای ازدواج کردن از افعال marryو Got married (to)استفاده می شود. فعل marryاغلب با مفعول به کار می رود اما فعل get married toهم با مفعول و هم بدون مفعول به کار می رود. لذا اگر جمله مفعول نداشته باشد (یعنی شخص مورد نظر مشخص نباشد) استفاده از کلمه get married رایج تر است.



🔹ریچل با تد ازدواج کرد. (با مفعول)
🔹Rachel married Ted.


🔸با من ازدواج می کنی؟ (با مفعول)
🔸Will you marry me?


🔹ریچل پارسال ازدواج کرد. (بدون مفعول)
🔹Rachel got married last year.


🔸ریچل و تد دو ماه پیش ازدواج کردند.
🔸Rachel and Ted got married two month ago.


🔹فعل be married (to)به معنای زن و شوهر بودن است و معنای ازدواج کردن نمی دهد.

🔹ریچل همسر (زن) تد است.
🔹Rachel is married to Ted.


🔸برادرم یک زن فرانسوی دارد.
🔸My brother is married to a French.

🔹هر دو برادر من متأهل هستند.
🔹Both of my brothers are married.

✡چند مثال:

🔹می خواهم با مردی ازدواج کنم که تحصیل کرده باشد.

↩️نکته: هیچ یک از افعال مربوط به نامزد و طلاق گرفتن با حرف اضافه withبه کار نمی روند.

✨تصويري نمايش داده شده به هر نحو؛ از آنچه وجود داره مثلا تصوير ذهني هم نوعي Image است

‍ 👉Eat humble pie


قبول اینکه اشتباه میکردی ( و بابتش معذرت خواهی هم بکنی )

☑️If you eat humble pie, you admit that you are in the wrong and behave apologetically. (Also eat humble crow)

Example1 :
My boyfriend ate humble pie last night when he was forced to admit that he skipped our date to go out with his friends.
▪️دوست پسرم دیشب وقتیکه مجبور شد قبول کنه که به قرارمون بی توجهی کرده تا با دوستاش بیرون بره ازم معذرت خواهی کرد و اشتباه خودش رو پذیرفت.

Example 2 :
The producers of the advert had to eat humble pie and apologize for misrepresenting the facts.
▪️دست اندرکاران (مولدان) این آگهی میبایست قبول کنند که اشتباه کرده‌اند و بابت وارونه جلوه دادن حقیقت عذر خواهی کنن.

Example 3 :
It was a risk I was prepared to take, although if it didn't work out I knew I might have to come back and eat humble pie.
▪️یه جور ریسک بود که من آماده بودم انجام بدم، هرچند میدونستم که اگر جواب نده ممکنه برگردم و قبول کنم که اشتباه میکردم.
