इस वर्ष अमेरिका का बजट घाटा 3.1 ट्रिलियन रहा जबकि यह द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध के बाद सबसे अधिक है.
हालांकि यह अमेरिका की अर्थव्यवस्था में 15 फीसदी के बराबर है. पिछले वित्त वर्ष अमेरिका को रेकॉर्ड बजट घाटा हुआ. जबकि इस वर्ष पिछले वर्ष के मुकाबले बजट घाटा 3 गुना बढ़ गया है.
Congressional Budget Office ने अनऑफिशियल आंकड़े जारी किए. इसके मुताबिक यह घाटा अमेरिका की अर्थव्यवस्था के 15 फीसदी के बराबर है. यह द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के बाद सबसे अधिक है. अमेरिकी सरकार ने द्वितीय विश्य युद्ध को फाइनेंस करने के लिए आखिरी साल भारी कर्ज लिया था.
पिछले वर्ष अमेरिकी सरकार ने 6.6 ट्रिलियन डॉलर खर्च किए और खर्च किए गए हर डॉलर पर 48 सेंट कर्ज लिया था. जिससे सरकार के खर्च में 47 फीसदी की बढ़ोतरी हुई. इसमें से 578 अरब डॉलर छोटे कारोबारियों को राहत देने के लिए खर्च किए गए जबकि बेरोजगारी बेनिफिट्स पर पिछले 6 महीनों में खर्च 443 अरब डॉलर बढ़ गया.
इस दौरान अमेरिका सरकार का राजस्व भी 44 अरब डॉलर घटाकर 3.4 ट्रिलियन डॉलर पर रहा. बेरोजगारी बढ़ने से इनकम टैक्स में करीब 16 फीसदी की गिरावट आई। कॉरपोरेट टैक्स 21 फीसदी गिर गया जबकि Social Security and Medicare payroll taxes में 5 फीसदी की बढ़ोतरी हुई.
NZD/USD Is Expected to Increase to 0.67🔥🔥🔥
WikiFX News (7 Oct.) - Westpac expected recently that NZD/USD will rise to 0.67 within a few months. New Zealand’s economy shrunk by 4% year-on-year, estimated previously to shrink 6%; the peak unemployment rate was expected to fall from 9.5% to 8%, and the unemployment rate may peak in 2021.
Furthermore, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand is set to expand its Large Scale Assets Purchases gradually to US$ 100 billion, and will lower the Official Cash Rate to -0.5%. Thus, it is expected that NZD/USD will increase to 0.67 at the end of this year.
An analyst at Citigroup said that NZD will be bearish continuously before voting in New Zealand General Election on October 17th because of more easing policy by the Federal Reserve of New Zealand. While, Westpac argued that NZD/USD would keep a slight drop and may decline sharply after breaking below the level of 0.6500. RIS’ Sign of Stopping Declining May Bolster up EUR/USD🔥🔥🔥
WikiFX News (5 Oct.) - European Central Bank(ECB) President Christine Lagarde warned that the appreciation of euro may bring negative pressure on commodity prices. At the same time, PRI is expected to stop the declined trend since the end of July. Therefore, it is expected that EUR/USD would continue shooting up in Q4 2020.
The ECB seems to take a wait-and-see attitude in the next meeting held on 29th October, as the governing council stated that the appropriate monetary measures had already been prepared so as to make sure that inflation would move toward the target in a sustainable way.
Given that the EU plan, 750 billion recovery funds, will be released in 2021-2023, the ECB may maintain the current policy for the rest of the year. In addition, the Fed President Powell plans to target 2% average inflation over time. Therefore, more attentions should be paid to whether the Fed decision would lead to a volatile EUR/USD in the short run.
Although the exchange rate bounces off from the month-low level of 1.1753, retail investors seem to continue selling EUR/USD, as they have held net short EUR/USD positions since mid-May.
USD/JPY Remains Weak🔥🔥🔥
WikiFX News (3 Oct.) - According to a research of the United Overseas Bank (UOB) released on September 1, USD/JPY tends to be bearish till the end of the year.
With Japan introducing a policy of low interest rate, the Japanese yen has become one of the world's most traded currencies due to the attractive carry trades. Previously, the country's central bank attempted to turn deflation into inflation by enlarging the asset purchase, which increases the currency supply and weakens the currency value. Consequently, it boosted exports but lifted import costs as well, especially the commodity price.
Besides the monetary policies of the FED and the Bank of Japan, the risk-on tilt is also an important factor affecting the price of USD/JPY. As a traditional safe haven and a funding currency with a low-interest rate, JPY will obtain support from both flights to safety and financing repayments once risky assets become less alluring amid the worsening market sentiment. USD/CAD: Enduring Upside Foreseeable🔥🔥🔥
WikiFX News (1 Oct.) - With the Canadian dollar hampered by oil prices, USD/CAD may embrace further upside in the foreseeable future amid the unstable rally in the US dollar.
USD/CAD has been in a volatile downtrend since hitting the historic high of 1.46680 (recorded on January 20, 2016) on March 19. The pair is temporarily stabilizing above the downtrend line made on March 19 after turning up from the near-half-year low of 1.29945 on September 1.
In terms of the US dollar, it rebounded quickly after the dollar index bottomed at 91.782 on September 1 and even hit a new high of 93.582 (recorded on August 12) on September 9 before establishing a firmer footing in the volatile zone of 93.000-93.300. With bulls getting crowded, the dollar will see further recovery in the wake of the FED rate decision in mid-September.
In terms of the Canadian dollar, its price has been suffering a loss on the weak demand as the dollar index has bounced back and is finding some stability. Such a trend may be sustained in the future, which will lead to a deepened loss in CAD. These trends and news are expected to send upside potential to USD/CAD.
Considering the dollar index has been recovering since mid-September and oil prices have declined further, USD/CAD is expected to see a rally enduring for a long time.

USD/CHF May Enter into Long-term Bearish Trend🔥🔥🔥
WikiFX News (8 Oct.) - USD/CHF suffered a loss recently and may adopt a bearish outlook in the long term amid the languish demand for the U.S. dollar.
Due to the large uncertainties in the U.S. General Election and the unclear economic outlook, the Swiss franc remains the markets’ preferential investment as a safe haven, which in turn boosts itself. According to Goldman Sachs, CHF has hit the best level since 2015 and may extend its gains as markets are testing how determined is the Swiss National Bank (SNB) to intervene in the currency.
The SNB Chairman said that the rapid appreciation of the Swiss franc needs to be prevented for its hurt on Switzerland’s export-orientated economy. Thus negative rates on the Swiss franc and interventions on forex markets remain crucial.
However, the ambiguous prospect will obstruct the SNB from strengthening the franc. The demand for the currency may rise drastically on any signal of the settlement risk.

USD May Encounter New Round of Depreciation🔥🔥🔥
WikiFX News (6 Oct.) - USDX has experienced a sharper volatility since this year. And it continues dropping despite of the temporary rally in US stock market stimulated by the hawkish fiscal and monetary policy.
In its Statement on Longer-Run Goals and Monetary Strategy, the Federal Open Market Committee(FOMC) will put more focus on the employment, reduce the inflation intolerance, and lower the long-term interest rate expectations.
In a CME FedWatch tool’s analysis, the Fed will keep 100% probability of maintaining an interest rate ranging 0-0.25% before March 2021; According to the Dot-Plot chart released in the FOMC meeting in June, the Fed official expected not to increase interest rate at least until the end of 2022. All these explain that it will take a long time for the US to recover its economy. At the same time, without the support by economic fundamentals, USDX is hard to rise.
Furthermore, the eurozone will attract more capital because of the increase in euro, which may challenge USD’s position of the world’s reserve currency. The euro accounts for 57.6% of the USDX. Therefore, a rising euro is possibly to lead to a depreciated USD, which is expected to enter into a new round of depreciation.
AUD/USD Raised Year-End Target to 0.75🔥🔥🔥
WikiFX News (4 Oct.) - Recently, Westpac raised the AUD/USD end-2020 forecast to 0.75 from 0.72 but stuck to the forecast that the pair price will gain more momentum to 0.80 in 2021.
The fair value model continues to signal an undervalued AUD. With fair value currently holding at 0.78, it will outpace the end-2020 target of 0.75.
Other factors which may continue supporting AUD include the ongoing boosts to risk-on tilt, firm commitments by central banks to support liquidity and demand, developments with vaccines, and Australia’s ongoing current account surplus which is expected to register at $46 billion for 2020 including $10 billion for Q4.
In addition, Australia's GDP will lift by 2.8% in Q4 supported by the reopening of the Victorian economy and ongoing progress in other states. Global economy is predicted to see a significant recovery in 2021, with a lift to 5% on the cards. The relatively more rapid recoveries in the Asian region will boost their currencies, which in turn will provide support for AUD.
GBP/USD May See Deepened Loss🔥🔥🔥
WikiFX News (2 Oct.) - GBP/USD created the deepest loss since March after experiencing a surge early this year and a slump in September. The main theme for the pair this year lies in the Brexit and the outbreaks of COVID-19. In the last quarter of 2020, where will the British pound move to?
Technically speaking, GBP/USD dwindled straightly towards the 200-SMA (Simple Moving Average), a watershed between the upbeat and downbeat sentiment, after breaching the Rising Wedge support. The path of least resistance for the pair is expected to be lower as the RSI (Relative Strength Index) is approaching the oversold territory and the MACD indicator has fallen below the zero line.
