If you're a startup looking to test your technology and product, then here's your opportunity: real estate firm Lodha Group, in association with Mumbai based Zone Startups India (ZSI), has launched the "Palava Accelerator". The programme will provide a testing ground to emerging technology startups to conduct their pilots at Palava, a privately-developed greenfield smart city located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The accelerator will focus on the themes of Consumer Tech, Real Estate Tech and Smart City IoT. Under the partnership with Zone Startups India, selected startups will go through a four-month acceleration programme, where they will be provided with a dedicated space at Palava to work, get mentorship from ZSI and its wide network. Additionally, the startups will have opportunities to conduct pilots, network and raise funds, along with other professional services support. 30 startups will be identified every year through an application process.

Stay away from the 'mobile SIM swap scam'. This happens when fraudsters gain a customer’s personal information through activities like Phishing (fraudulent mail), Vishing (fraudulent call), Social Engineering, etc. By creating the customer’s fake ID, they obtain a duplicate SIM card from the mobile operator and deactivate the customer's genuine SIM card. The duplicate SIM is then used by fraudsters for fraudulent transactions in the customer's (victim's) account, without their knowledge.

In order to battle competition from foreign players, Indian start-ups are coming together to form an organization called Indiatech.org to represent the interests of local ventures.
The group will reportedly be a non-profit organisation with different layers of membership, to be led by Gyanendra Badgaiyan as the CEO. It will work to promote the interests of home-grown start-ups against foreign players.
Apart from this, the group will also focus on issues like job creation, skills training and providing resources to scale up Internet businesses.

What happens if you have been wrongfully detained in jail in India?
If a person is kept in the prison unlawfully the Supreme Court has the authority to issue Writ of Habeas Corpus calling for an explanation of the authorities as to why they confined a person to jail without valid reasons. Also, nor can anyone be punished without trial in the court.
