Google Pixel 6 Pro
Android Central - Android Forums, News, ... / by Jay Bonggolto / 9h

A whole bunch of "sorta" and "kinda" Pixel phones are sticking around in the upcoming flagship series.
What you need to know
New renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have surfaced online along with their corresponding fancy names.
The flagship devices are likely to retain the lineup's odd nomenclature, including names that include "kinda" and "sorta."
Google will formally announce the next-generation phones on October 19.
Google's color options for the upcoming Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are nothing new at this point, as the company showed us a preview of them in August. Now, a new set of renders for the Pixel 6 series has surfaced online, alongside the matching names of each color variant.
Courtesy of @evleaks, the new renders reveal what the standard Pixel 6 models will be called: Seaform Green and Stormy Black. Furthermore, the Cloudy White and Stormy Black hues are believed to be used on the Pixel 6 Pro variants.
The event, which kicks off at 10AM PT, comes just a smidge over a month after Apple’s last big event, which debuted a brand new iPhone and Apple Watch, among others. So, what does that leave? New Macs were the biggest question mark after the last event. The company is still in the midst of a two-year plan to upgrade all of its desktops and laptops to its in-house silicon. Perhaps we’ll be seeing that new MacBook Pro, with an upgraded version of last year’s M1 chip. A larger version of last year’s Arm-based iMac has been rumored, as well, along with a new Mac Mini.
Accessories like brand new AirPods also look like a reasonable possibility. So, what, precisely, constitutes “unleashed” in all of this? If the graphic is any indication, Apple’s invented some sort of warp-speed space travel. Stay tuned.

The Cheap, Cross-Platform Option :
Splashtop Wired XDisplay
If your Mac or iPad isn't supported by Sidecar—or you're a Windows and Android user—Splashtop Wired XDisplay is a third-party app that can turn your tablet into a second monitor. It only works when connected over USB, and isn't the smoothest option I've used, but it'll do the job adequately for not a lot of money.
Splashtop Wired XDisplay has two components: a desktop agent that runs in the background on your PC or Mac, and an iPad app or Android app that runs on your tablet. (The iPad app appears to be completely free, while the Android app is $7—though there's a free trial version that works for 10 minutes at a time.)
After installing both the desktop and tablet apps, ensure the desktop app is running on your computer, connect your tablet to your computer with a USB cable, then launch the XDisplay app on your tablet. It will establish a connection to your computer, and a blank desktop will appear on your tablet. You rearrange your monitors from your computer's Display settings, drag windows to your tablet, and otherwise use it as a second monitor for a productivity boost.
I recommend having a stand to keep it propped up—something like this works great if you're using your tablet with a laptop, while a more adjustable stand like this is ideal for desktop usage.
Splashtop Wired XDisplay works decently well, at least in my experience using an iPad and a Windows PC. There is some noticeable latency, and I did have some trouble with it getting stuck in Mirrored Mode on one of my computers, but for the price of free, it's worth a shot.

The first two models from Apple’s iPhone 12 have started shipping, and of course the folks at iFixit are busy taking them apart. As of this writing the detailed teardown is still incomplete, but they’ve exposed enough of the details to get a good look under those screens. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are surprisingly similar inside, as iFixit points out that the cheaper model has a plastic spacer in the spot where the Pro puts its telephoto lens and LiDAR sensor.
They also have the same size battery, at 10.78 Wh, which is slightly smaller than the 11.91 and 11.67Wh batteries iFixit reported in last year’s iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. In our review we noted that battery life on the iPhone 12 doesn’t quite match its predecessor, and that could be your explanation.

Google is announcing a big rebranding and redesign for its suite of office apps today, rebranding G Suite with a new name: Google Workspace. Along with the new branding for the product that encompasses Gmail, Docs, Meet, Sheets, and Calendar are new features designed to make all those products feel like they’re more integrated with one another. Google is also changing up its pricing tiers just a bit, adding a new “Business Plus” level with more device management features.
As an example of the new features, a Chat window can spawn a new document for everybody in the group without needing a new tab. And in Google Docs, instead of chasing each others’ cursors around or opening up a chat window, you can immediately just start a video call right in the same window for everybody who’s active in the document.
The new Gmail icon will be divisive
The idea of blowing up the idea of separate apps into little pieces that can be embedded in other places isn’t entirely new — Microsoft has been trying the same thing with its Fluid framework in Office. That Google’s launching similar capabilities in Google Workspace is a sign it may try to get serious about challenging Microsoft. If that’s too vague for you, the press release quote from the VP in charge of Google Workspace, Javier Soltero, is much more explicit: “This is the end of the ‘office’ as we know it.”

Mi 10T specifications
The vanilla Mi 10T will have a 6.67-inch IPS LCD just like a huge plethora of Redmi smartphones. However, this display brings a whopping 144Hz refresh rate. The panel has FHD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under the hood, the phone packs the powerful Snapdragon 865 SoC alongside 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. That’s an impressive package of specs. It draws power from a 5,000mAh battery complete with 33W fast-charging. Not the fastest of standards, but a very satisfactory one.
The images surfaced shortly after another leaker, M. Brandon Lee, took to Twitter to share what he claimed were official color names of the device. As usual, the nomenclature remains as fancy as ever.
According to the leaker, the Pixel 6 will be available in Kinda Coral, Sorta Seafoam, and Stormy Black. On the other hand, the Pro model will come in Sorta Sunny, Cloudy White, and Stormy Black.
Google previously utilized "sorta" in their Pixel naming strategy with the Pixel 5, which was available in Sorta Sage and Just Black. The quaint names appear to be sticking around for the Pixel 6 series.
While @evleaks fell short of revealing the names of what look like the orange and gold colorways of the phones based on Google's previous revelations, it's obvious that they correspond to the Kinda Coral and Sorta Sunny variants. We'll know for sure on October 19 when Google formally unveils its answer to the best Android phones.

The Ideal Option :
Sidecar on macOS Catalina
Sidecar is arguably the best option for turning your iPad into a second display. So if you have a Mac and an iPad from the past three or four years, you'll want to try it first.
(If your devices are older than that, skip down to the next section.)
To connect your iPad as a display, either connect your iPad to your Mac over USB, or—to do it wirelessly—ensure Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Handoff are turned on. You'll also need to be logged in to the same Apple ID on both devices
Then, click the AirPlay button in your Mac's menu bar and select your iPad from the list. The icon will change, and clicking the menu again will offer you a number of options. You can mirror your Mac's display or extend it, show or hide the Sidebar and Touch Bar that appear on the iPad, or disconnect your tablet.
You can use Sidecar wired or wirelessly, but if you want to switch between them, you have to disconnect and re-connect using the AirPlay menu. Apple says it should work wirelessly as long as the iPad is within 10 meters (30 feet) of the Mac, and you can even use your Apple Pencil to sign documents and draw in supported apps.

There are built-in options for all the usual suspects: Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. “System Default” uses your PC’s default browser app, and is the easiest option if you only use one browser and have already changed Windows 10’s default browser app in the system settings. You can also pick “Custom,” then click “...” next to “Browser Executable” to find and select a browser’s .EXE file manually.
Next, use the “Preferred Search Engine” dropdown menu to change your search engine. Search Deflector defaults to Google search, but there are 18 different options to pick from. If you don’t see your search engine of choice listed, pick “Custom” then copy/paste the website’s URL under “Custom Search Engine URL.”
Once your browser and search engine changes are set, click “Apply” and close the app.
Type a search word in the Task Bar or Start Menu search bar and select “Open in Browser”.
Click “Set Default” when prompted.
Select “Deflector.exe”
The search results should pop up in your preferred browser and search engine.
