The proliferation of scams is largely thanks to new chains actually, or otherwise named muh ecosystems 🤮
Take the following example. A team "L" does a lot of shady stuff on a given chain. They burn their social score and can't continue grifting there. What do they do? Go to a new fresh ecosystem. They show that they have experience, and the new chain has very little choice so they accept them with open arms. That means support, a raise, rewards into their protocol, and... now team "L" is successful again!
This happens much less within the same circle of builders, because as much as people don't care to call out bad actors - they don't directly engage with them. At least some level of quality and ethos control. But across different blockchains there is no such thing. Not because of lack of information, but because overly rich chains must accept any mediocrity coming their way.
PS: idk the quoted tweet teams' circumstances, not calling anyone out. I am just using this as an example of serial entrepreneurship, which has been crazy since '21.
