Given the quite nice move up in price of $uni in the 24h prior to the announcement, despite a down day in the market generally, there are evidently ways for some people to make money on it. But I really doubt it's the vc's.

Andre Cronje: Investors and businesses want centralization. Decentralization doesnt make money and is so much harder.

Will see many dapps become L2s, that eventually (when they grow tired of managing it) decentralize and become L1s. Just like many L1s will become L2s (because its much easier running a centralized sequencer than worrying over pesky consensus), until they need to "decentralize" and become L1s again.

Let the fragmentation continue. Against every tech concept I learned, I believe monolitic are the winners on this one.
