yeah, the biggest damage here for all of us is that a lot liquidity will exit the ecosystem. Many users will simply not come back, every time a big hack happens it hurts the industry.

should be more collaborations between law enforcement and DEX/CEX in general to trace the hacks and stop them faster, by the looks of it the RDNT is a inside job and should be possible to trace. Hard to trust crypto the way things are going, really hope there is more stability incoming or alot liquidity will exit.

The large scale hacks get most of the attention. The reall shitty issue lies with smaller amounts, under $1m. The FBI and other groups won’t go after these because the amounts are too small and the criminals are intenational. You have to fund all the investigation and legal fees yourself. It can take years to get any resolution.

All the exchanges are forced to disclose identifying info to the feds who then use that to build large scale maps of addresses which they use for tax, criminal investigations, and other purposes.

would be big for crypto if there is a global unit specialized only in large hack cases, there is so much money involved it would make sense. Moment there is a hack, the tracing begins, and once funds are located law enforcement should be able to sweep in instantly without too much admin work in-between regardless of the hackers whereabouts. The hackers are too safe these days and know in most cases they get away, atleast to some degree unless victims themselves take action.
I really dont see crypto adopt to the next level unless there is better collaborations between the units, im curious why it havent been done already. I assume its not as easy as it sounds, since its diffrent juristictions and diffrent authorities.
You don't know this so shouldn't instill that distrust in people's minds about the ignorance or otherwise of the team.
