Still have my brick from mint. First NFT I have never thought about selling and first place that showed me what a community in web3 could be like. Less than 500 of us (500 supply) crazy about the bricks, laughing at the pfp industry along with the enigmatic, basically anon creator. Being there at the start, not really sure he had a "strategy" in dropping them that way, more that he thought it was amusing to have everyone hyped up. He was also making them as he went, a handful a day so there were production constraints to the "launch strategy" 😆 It was initially just stealth fixed price listings on OS until someone got 2 or 3 in a row and was shouted down for botting. This was wayyyyy before sniper bots and things like that. So we moved indoors to Discord and raffles. Then it all stopped when he went to sleep unannounced 😂 everyone waiting until he popped back up again. Although the best thing he did I think was challenge us to take our bricks off the screen and into the real world. Reproduce an interpretation of your brick in real life, photograph it and it was then minted. Looking back at them (Just Bricks Breakout on OS if you would like to check out peoples creations) we got 50+ participants which seems pretty good for a high effort activity and only being several hundred people strong. Some of them were awesome and really creative. I spent about 6 weeks after work painting a full mural across a double car garage (in a rental property!) and loved every minute of it. Never painted anything in my life. Still have a couple of close friends from there too, love the fact I have that from my first real web3 home. Literally just bricks.
