Centralized actors sometimes have to KYC even when not directly obligated, because not doing so may open (legally) the door to many more attack vectors with a known centralized target. KYC right now is more about protecting the one doing the KYC than the one being KYC’d.

in reality lawyers take all the money and creditors get nothing while hackers torn/xmr/mix without any accountability
better security mechanisms are still the way forward
im still waiting to see kyc protect anything, especially people's privacy
What I do want to see is collateral management as a service.
I want collateral refinancing according to a specific investment strategy.
I want high quality collateral options (ideally with with diversified crypto beta but the options are limitless)
I want the ability to automate my LTV to as high as possible to reduce smart contract risk and treat the rebalance gas cost as a premium that I can estimate as an insurance cost
I anticipate a future where you can take your entire salary and invest in a pension then and borrow against it for monthly expenses and the LTV is dynamically managed by automated selling and buying of collateral against a MMF cash position
And if this happens, I want KYCd lending pools because I’m fed up of hacks being something I have to just accept. I want 100% recovery rates because I know who done it.
I want automatic unstaking and reallocating capital across L1s, based on a defined % allocation strategy

Also, how do you take notes and sync them across devices? Using Notion but privacy is a deadly concern, especially since i successfully asked the IA to leverage my weak points to inflict psychological self torture.

KYC thing is a side quest but no one in 2024 should be sharing passport / selfies. Disclose limited info straight off a government portal with an OAuth style login.
