Trying to figure out how I can add Solana FUD to that message but I’ll just say “network failures” and “solchicks” and leave it there

And I believe that
Ethereum is pretty competitive, so unless liquidations volume would be very very high, it is kind of normal to not have hundreds of liquidators at any point of time.
From the data there (not sure how exactly precise or coverage), 75 liquidations last 7 days with 13 different liquidators is actually quite big count

I’m trying to figure out the best way to measure competition and price of participation in this. Any ideas on how to approach it?
but saying it's a bit more resistant than account based protocols is fair, and the reason for that Emin cites is sound, though I don't think it will matter in practice

Not sure all the above sources contain all the data... so take them with a grain of salt
Get event logs for the liquidate call decoded, or debug traces -> decode the trace calls+ extract the fields you want to use for your analysis.
Dune should have the events
at bare minimum, maybe the debug
calls decoded as well 🙏
Hope this helps
two of them are purely network level and utxo based, and the one user-faced is a usual EVM

Lurking on this conversation and just wanna say: huge respect for you taking this position publicly and generally being very transparent about the way you operate. Lots of orgs can afford to learn from this.
