just woke up and there is no coffee and gotta wait for the delivery as rogan talks to pmarca on this tv set that's at home after 20 years and i was wondering who speaks this fast in DeFi and I also wonder why people keep shilling LLM wrappers that are really not to be trusted whatsoever—i myself am an unconditional acceleration (u/acc of the 2010s but with a more humane component) proponent as effective as it gets.

none of these agentic markets have the guts to be secure currently yet all the illiquid defi quarters are running amock. also social layer, majority of the social layer apps suck big time yet you wake to up to see a zkTLS variants going no.1 on Crunchbase the first thing in the morning.

i think the biggest black swan in this market will be some AI-led faux-DAO pseudo-hedge-fund that will have its own semi-algo-stable which will wipe out itself in 2 years right before the 18-year market cycle dippity dip.

The power perps is basically a gamma trade and instrument for it.
People in crypto don't do options much as it's too complex, counter-intuitive and lacking pmf, and you expect to have adoption for a second degree derivative ever more complex than options 🥲

last couple years i heard u can make 50-100% a year on it easily and it not a secret, just look at fundings at 2 different exchanges like hl and aaevo or somethingm, same as this gentleman did

iirc the problem with squeeth was the funding rate (implemented as inflation in their protocol). Wouldn't that be the same for all other assets or worse? I was also asking about this here and to my contacts earlier this year but didn't come across anything promising

In any case, going back to the power perps, I think there’s an interesting application for midcaps, where the issuers would be LPing to enable the use case + professional players to hedge their Uni v3 positions
