The rate at which you have funds above the buffer is what defines how much gets used.

Читать полностью…NAh… this was triggered because they reduced the buffer surplus 50M probably to push the price up and increase the cost of a governance attack and for Rune to not get liquidated.
Читать полностью…there is a lack of explicitly listed alternative frontends on safe website or in the docs
Читать полностью…Of course it does not, it’s a surplus that originated over some time - now it’s not.

Unsustainable though (and Rune kinda acknowledges that in the comments). Almost a PnPD
a proper setup would be a dedicated, airgapped device for signing
Читать полностью…but the hardware wallet wasn't able to show the data due to the complexity of the smart contract if i am getting this right
Читать полностью…a safe{wallet} dev got his computer pwned, pushing malicious frontend code, and the code only target bybit cold wallet. the same malicious frontend also got distributed to other users as well
Читать полностью…is there somewhere an explanation of how the hack happened in layman's terms?

Читать полностью…They hinted that the takeover folks from nexo wanted to use the surplus to finance the takeover. Now it’s being used towards an aggressive buyback which sort of deals two blows in that takeover deal
Читать полностью…It was never technically paused. The buffer was 120M and now it’s 70M so there’s 50M above the surplus that get used for buyback.
Читать полностью…They earn 100m USD a year after a lot of expenses so maybe they can't maintain 1m USD a day but they can do 1/4 of that which is still very respectable
Читать полностью…trying to stay on top of ethdenver news/content, but don't want to scroll twitter for like 1h per day. do you have any way to keep track of the most valuable stuff going on there?
Читать полностью…i think safe has modules. Bybit didn’t utilize custom modules that restrict transaction? They should have a module that only allow transaction to whitelist CA.
Читать полностью…or implement custom logic on the multisig wallet to only allow certain types of txs
Читать полностью…was there a way for them to check the data on the HW and they didn't ?
Читать полностью…they have to make sure that the data is right, whether it matches what's showing on the frontend does not matter that much if it can't be trusted
Читать полностью…thanks, that makes more sense. as I understand the fronted UI was spoofed but if the Hardware Wallet was able to show the transaction data the users would be able to tell the difference from the front end
Читать полностью…read couple of sources and it's still not clear, since it was a multi sig were there multiple machines compromised or multiple people fooled into clicking sth they shouldn't have?
Читать полностью…Hi, any tentative timelines by when the other networks apart from Ethereum can be activated in SAFE Frontend ?
Читать полностью…For some reason as I constantly seeing in Brave MM/Rabby are often not updated to the last version
