In Tradfi where it is very easy to cook numbers, one old investor told me this - "Dividends being paid (which are a percentage of the profits being shared with shareholders) are a way to confirm that that company is actually making money and is not cooking books/making up numbers". Token buyback and burn from fees/revenue generated is another way to verify if the projects have real revenue and you can verify velocity/growth in buyback / burn to check real utility / fees growth.

you can short them fairly easily without delta exposure by doing a funding rate swap.
If you want to short outright there are pretty liquid perps and active options markets that can allow controlled exposure (cf panoptic)

It’s impossible atomically and personally I wouldn’t trust any kind of zk solver network with big size. I’d want a bank or serious regulated broker dealer to refinance me for anything meaningful

Often there are dapps in defi that make headlines with large TVLs and token price performance, but when you start looking into it onchain to see who is actually using them, turns out there are only a few wallets providing most of the liquidity and the dapp does not actually deliver what it promises - often providing no competitive value. Does anyone Is there a quick way to tell those dapps apart from the ones where there is actual real user demand? On defillama we only see the TVL but not the actual amount of wallets interacting with it in most cases.
