you will get kodiak lp tokens and then you can go to kodiak ui to withdraw your liquidity

Читать полностью…How are a hedge fund‘s risk systems and smart contract infra supposed to protect their leveraged positions from a faulty oracle update though?
This doesn’t seem possible.
Even as a super sophisticated hedge fund you’re at the mercy of the oracle infra functioning flawlessly. And there’s nothing you can do to protect yourself if it doesn’t.
that’s why retail shouldn’t do them but yes they are easy for hedgefunds that run smart the appropriate risk systems and smart contract infra
Читать полностью…One faulty oracle update and you’re gone..
You’re making it sound as if leveraged loops aren’t super risky.
Even with fundamental oracles there could be a faulty oracle print.
Nice. Want to see what it looks like in the wild, with users, etc.

Boyco users withdrew Infrared Vault tokens from Boyco. But the Infrared Team has no idea what these tokens are or what to do with them.
Читать полностью…I think one of the curve feature shine here. You can set a range of liquidation price instead of one liquidation price point.
You get liquidated slowly and recover your collateral slowly if it goes up.
For 4/ you can use https://1delta.io - both via UI and programmatically

Imo vcs are totally inept at this and wave through on vibez so dd important
1/ They talk with teams and do quite intense dd on collateral. They don’t just yolo in via ux
2/ they run auto deleverage systems based on sentiment and other data
3/ hypernative & other risk systems
4/ they can atomically deloop via smart contracts instead of using ui
Ofc this doesn’t matter for a jump-to-default situation but look at MEV and other risk off with usual finance as an example of how fast they can be
wait, did Zerebro creator shot himself, really?

Gearbox covers this case with reserve oracle solution. Potentially, there’re 3 possible cases: revert (disfunctional), bigger or lower value than market price.
1. If oracle reverts, gearbox with permissionless allows you to replace it to proven oralce from the list. Could be done pretty fast.
2. If price manipulated to bigger value (risk of evaluating collateral higher). The protocol is protected with reserve oracle. The second opinion is use to calculate the final price for collateral evaluation. Literally, it uses min of 2 prices, but it doesn’t allpiled to liquidation decisions.
3. If price manipulated to lower value, so accounts could be affected. However, if bad debt (LP loss) could be as result, gearbox uses special policy (loss policy), which could have alternative way to compute collateral / allow to whitelisted liqudatorsm etc.
We consider price oracle risk is significant, all possible cases are covered
