I remember a time when MEXC turned off its APIs very abruptly, after a few teams (including us) had spent a good amount of time building tight integrations.

Rumour was that their prop desk started making less, so they reacted accordingly. We haven’t traded on MEXC since.

Sorry - unsure if rumours like this are fair game, but in case folks have started looking at MEXC only recently, has been like this for a while.

Fees are objectively low for what it does. I do agree its kind of lame its basically many accounts washing trough cexes between chains but it serves the purpose. There are more options if you ask around. I think zachxbt did a tier list earlier

it's well known that mexc is shady. it has futures for exotic coins with liquidity coming from the exchange itself (effectively trading against their own users)

you can take a look at any perps there the liquidity is like 5x-20x deeper than binance which is absurd

for a while it's easy to make paper gains shorting new altcoin futures there

Ways to monetise card businesses are rather limited:
- spread on offramp or fx
- extra fees on top-ups or ATM withdrawals
- cross-selling investment/trading or lifestyle stuff

I'm enjoying my Gnosis Pay + Zeal + Google Pay integration, works really well like zero problems (until tax period comes yea)
I'm UK based and there's no GBPe support in neither Aave nor Sky yet - @Lemiscate said there's no demand 😣
I staked som EUR and USD just to test how it works, like when your card balance goes under a defined limit it'd go and unwind part of your staking position to top up, amazing

P.S. otherwise fx rates are not bad
