Yep, Plasma is a good example

Later in past November, they had a small raise in Covid group - smarts have eaten total size in literally seconds, mostly everybody fumbled

Later - they launched ICO on Sonar, and many guys mentioned that they raised at 40m FDV. Imagine a boom happening in people’s minds, when they realizing they may got in so cheap if they were more involved

At this point Echo and Sonar as a products complement each other

If early stages are too risky - any guy just waiting on Sonar, if he looking for early stages - he comes to Echo

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying VC’s are bad or sum, as you said it’s still good and useful and will continue to be like this

But Echo’s PMF will outperform tier2-3 VC’s share, they’re offers much better functions and options for builders

Imagine a team who raising their seed/private on Echo and then launch community offering by Sonar

What they need else?
CEX’es will see that narrative soon I guess

Seen Sonar yes, looks good but I like the idea of an Echo group as it brings community preloaded. Just getting through the group lead barrier is hard from my experience. In the end we've decided on NFT-as-ICO, where users mint an NFT that comes loaded with an allocation of the token

In nearest future, I guess 1-2 years timeline, “we’re backed by Echo” will cost as much as “we’re backed by Polychain”

Community Venture is the next phase, this type of funding gives much more then just money, it gives naming, raising FOMO effect, says “y’all can be involved”, in my opinion

Not everybody just understood it yet

Do you have any good resources on early community distro programmes?

I was early team at Harvest Finance and 88mph, both had amazing starts with lots of value overnight to earliest users. It feels like that is less possible now, with speed of narrative change and amount of choice in protocols
