A bit late to the convo, but still. Accelerators are helpful as a door opener, they make it easier. If you are a no-name startup, a brand of incubator kind of guarantees your own until you build it out. Saw it with project incubated by Wintermute, or Delphi Digital. Trust for the project increases. And reputation is everything here, a bit of closed circle around. So it's a way to grow.

For a chain: I don’t agree with king making either, but incubators are a method to decrease uncertainty. I wouldn’t depend only on them to find the star builder, but as one channel – why not. We had the same experience at Ventures/Grants at Visa. Then it's about expectations (you get very few "next Lido" in incubators), and actual ROI on what you count as net negative.

It's the signal, plus these treasury companies will continue to buy from the market. When the EF sells into the market everyone fuds them relentlessly. Now these coins will never hit the market and they have runway. Seems bullish to me

Actually think this is super bullish, just retarded timing as ETH finally breaks out to announce.

These ETH wont hit the market and it also gives the EF runway. All other L1 eco's have to either sell OTC via private rounds to VC (who are profit maxis and will dump) or on the market. This is the perfect symbiotic relationship with these treasury companies as they can blackhole the ETH and the EF can secure R&D without selling into the market

Also a bit late to this debate, but anyone who attended demo days can confirm this (including yours truly).

It's quite hilarious how no one wants to say it publicly though. Most cohorts at most accelerators are poor in terms of startup quality. Glad that we knocked that one out of the park finally.

accelerators typically give you 2 things: network and marketing. at least on the long run this is what lasts. can be highly beneficial for founders, if you exactly miss these.
