How many hours does it take to learn English?
This is really a million dollar question. English language learning depends on a lot of things: How much effort will you put into studying? Are you taking good quality English classes? Are you immersed in an English speaking environment?
Mastering a foreign language takes years and years of hard work and patience.
According Cambridge ELT Research, for motivated adult learners, they typically need between 100 and 200 hours of guided learning (+their self-education) to get from one CEFR level to the next.

Studies indicate you need about 360 hours of study to have a conversation confidently, and continue to 1765 hours in order to do a clerical job.
