Thou vs You
As we know, in the English language 'you' is always plural.
In Shakespeare's time they used "thou" (ðaʊ) as a singular form of “you” when it is the subject of a verb. Thou is an old-fashioned, poetic, or religious word for "you", and it is not the only one. Thou is the subject form (nominative), thee is the object form, and thy/thine is the possessive form:
