I just caught a bot in another group that apparently restricts user action in the first 24h (maybe subject to individual settings).

It's called /channel/daysandbox_bot

Yeah, I don't know how all this works, I think I remember getting some automated notice to that effect when I joined some group. But, to be fair, I might also just mix that up, and it was a tg group where no links were allowed, and the timeout for new users was on some "normal" forum.
