Being a straight indian man feels like a curse I never signed up for.
I genuinely hate my life as a straight Indian man. Everywhere I look online, offline, globally, we’re either mocked, hated, or treated like we’re disposable. Indian men are a joke to the world. At home, it somehow hurts even more, because it feels like even our own people despise us.
If being born a man is already considered a curse in today’s climate, then being born a South Asian man feels like something worse than a curse. We never grew up with Western dating culture. We were raised with the idea that families mattered, marriage was arranged, love came later, and responsibility was expected. Then suddenly the internet flipped everything upside down.
Now we’re judged by Western standards we were never raised for. We’re told we’re “incompetent,” “creepy,” “low value,” “sub-par men.” Indian feminists and misandrists shamelessly copy Western rhetoric but conveniently ignore the fact that women here still enjoy traditional patriarchal privileges. They still don’t initiate. They still expect men to chase, provide, protect, tolerate rejection, and stay silent, while also demanding modern freedom, validation, and princess treatment.
It feels like a rigged game. No matter what you do, you lose.
What hurts even more is that men here will never unite. We are divided by caste, class, language, religion, region, every possible fault line. So when men are wronged, there is no collective outrage, no solidarity, no protests. Just silence. Just “deal with it.” Meanwhile, the laws are brutally skewed against men. One accusation can destroy your life, your family, your career and nobody cares. There isn’t even a pretense of fairness anymore.
People will say, “Every country is bad for men.” Sure. But some are less suffocating than this. To my South Asian brothers: if you ever get a real chance to leave, take it and don’t look back. Staying here often means accepting loneliness, legal vulnerability, social contempt, and constant self doubt as your default state.
I’m not writing this because I hate women. I’m writing this because male pain here is invisible. When men speak, we’re mocked. When we struggle, we’re told to “man up.” When we fail, we’re told it’s our fault. It feels like society has already decided we don’t matter.
I don’t know what the solution is. I just know that carrying this silently is slowly killing something inside me.

I've been scrolling social media non-stop, and I can't escape the constant hate toward men
Every time a man and a woman do the exact same thing online (good or bad), the man gets labeled as evil or hateful—but not the woman. It's everywhere. It's completely normalized to degrade and mock short men, with endless jokes. But if a man says he prefers not to date someone over a certain weight? He's instantly canceled. (And I agree—no one should mock weight!!)I just don't understand why everyone is normalizing this.
So why is it okay to bully men over height? What's behind all this normalized hatred? Anyone else noticing this?

@manpill
Unsure of this already
I got a new job and the recruiter was a woman. Okay, that's normal.
Then I got contacted by the director...another woman. Okay, didn't think much of it. Then my regional manager...yet another woman. Uh. Hm. Coincidence? Then my direct manager...yup. Another lady! Weird.
"Oh, by the way, you need to consult with the marketing team! You'll be contacted soon."
...That's a woman, too, then I got pulled into a group chat.
"Here's the head of your area! The boots on the ground!"
A woman. Again.
"Here's your mentor!"
...Oh, boy... You guessed it. Female. I'm gonna stick this out and hope for the best.

The Disturbing Lionization of Aileen Wuornos
I remember I became familiar with the case of Aileen Wuornos through the movie Monster with Charlize Theron, when I was 13, and the first thing that disturbed me was how the movie tried to portray her as a victim and, in some sick way, showed her as justified in her horrible actions. But as a child, I quickly brushed it off and moved on, being completely unaware that it was slowly garnering a cult-like following from an increasing number of women with violent "revenge" fantasies, involving members of my gender. It was only something that I became aware a few months ago, when I stumbled upon a Reddit post with twenty thousand upvotes about the gruesome murders, under which numerous women were singing praises for her.
To say that I was disturbed would be an understatement. I was infuriated by the complete lack of empathy for those men and their dehuminization displayed by the "empathetic" gender. I tried to convince my own mind that it's just Reddit and that it doesn't in any way represent real life women. "It's just a few crazies", I told myself. Basically, I was coping, because I couldn't believe that the "fairer" sex could be so... vile. Oh, how wrong I was! In my search to find even a little glimpse of humanity, I went to other platforms and they only confirmed my worst fears. Women were indeed excusing and celebrating that monster for murdering "predators". "Predators". That's what they call those men, because in their eyes paying for sex with a consenting adult, who willingly chose this path, is somehow equivalent to rape. Adult women have agency too and denying that is misogyny. But it seems to be somehow that modern feminists are very comfortable with sexism that supports their worldview.
Interestingly enough, a couple of Wuornos' victims never even used prostitutes in their lives. She killed them in cold blood nontheless, because they were men. And in the eyes of those women, they still "deserved" it. This makes my stomach churn. Imagine if men said that Elliot Rodger was justified. Any comment or a video expressing this view would have gotten you IP banned. But I digress.
The worst offender of Aileen worship is probably Bailey Sarian's video on Youtube with 8.7 million views and ten thousand comments full of women calling Aileen a hero. One even expressed her hope that in her next life, she'll be happy, because she "deserves peace".
Honestly, this kind of public display of misandry has made me very jaded and almost apathetic to the "cause". You know which one I am talking about. I just can't say it, because Reddit might permaban me. It also greatly contributed to my distrust and avoidance of the opposite sex. The only thing that keeps my hope alive for the end of this malice is my relationship with my girlfriend. She's been absolutely crucial for my mental health not detoriorating further and is very supportive and understanding. But the more I look around, the more I realize just how rare she is in this world full of hatred. She is the sweetest, kindest and most loving precious thing on the pile of space trash that we call Earth. She seems like an outlier, and that makes me very depressed. Is there really almost no kindness left for us men?
P.S. Sorry for this long rant. This is something that has been bugging me for quite a while. I really needed to vent.

What are my options, person who I encountered put my private identifiable information on the tea app. Essentially doxxing me.This seems wrong banning “men” from an app where anyone can write anonymous things and not face legal consequences. This app is horrible for mental health, and needs to be stopped. I am likely going to he having to take legal action against this company.

BOOK TITLE: How to Destroy A Man Now (DAMN): A Handbook
Inspired by an earlier OP today at [https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/1pugk0r/normal\_book\_titles\_nowadays/](https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/1pugk0r/normal_book_titles_nowadays/)
# How to Destroy A Man Now (DAMN): A Handbook
# [Angela Confidential](https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/19556702.Angela_Confidential)
A wave of sexual misconduct allegations about powerful men have exploded recently in the media (e.g., the news, Twitter #MeToo, etc.). A bold social movement has begun with brave women coming forward and being applauded for speaking out and sharing their stories of abuse, discrimination, and harassment. As a result, accused men like Harvey Weinstein, Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose, and dozens more have been removed from power and are suffering the consequences.
In How to Destroy A Man Now (DAMN), Dr. Angela Confidential (a business psychologist, consultant, and human resource professional) empowers women with a step-by-step guide for destroying a man’s reputation and removing him from power.
In easy to understand terms, the handbook reveals and explains the fundamental dynamics between allegations, the media, and authority as they relate to male misconduct in today’s society. It also unveils and details practical real-world methods for leveraging allegations, media, and authorities to dethrone a man from power.

EDIT: One review said "I purchased this book with leftover funds on a gift card laying around, and I could not be more relieved to have not spent any of my own money on a "book". A very anti-feminist friend who enjoys good debates posted about this book, and being the ever scholar and optimist, I wanted to tear it apart and try to glean some level of sarcasm or even a shred of decency about it. Alas, the pamphlet is exactly as advertised. Weighing in at only 66 pages, the book reads as a step by step guide on how to make false allegations, use mainstream media, and level a man's entire world. The "author" uses a fake name, and thus it can not be accepted as truth that they would be a PsyD (and i certainly hope not, as they should NOT be counseling others). There seems to be some debate as to the gender of the writer, which I can agree with. While they wish to be viewed as a female, parts of the book sound like they are coming from a man who has had these things done to them. That, too, will be up in the air until the author comes forward. Costing approximately $8, it is absolutely not worth the paper it is printed on. Following the advice in this book is liable to get the reader arrested and is guaranteed to leave a permanent black mark upon the person's character.
I am NOT a supporter of censorship, and I read inflammatory pieces often, but this book is the modern day equivalent to Hitler's antisemitic propoganda, harmful and without merit. It was independently published, so the only person to blame is the author. For women thinking of reading this book, use it as a handbook of what not to do."

It's sad to see how the world has gone into a complete division
As a woman, I believe in equality of both genders.
And it's sad to see women to be so blatantly against misogyny, that they don't realize they are also being misandristic. In my own opinion, society has gone so far up their asses, that they don't seem to realize how far their foot has gone down their own throats.
We need to be supportive of each other. When someone doesn't feel safe, it's super valid. Any gender can get SA'd no matter who it can be.
I'm a feminist, yes, but I don't cause misandry. Yes men are pigs, but women are boars.
We are not dumb, we are smarter than we take account for.
Stop the misandry, stop the misogyny. Stop the damn toxicity. That's what we should do.
Men suffer as much as women do. God created us to suffer, not just to thrive and be happy.

First post here. Something I’ve been observing and genuinely wondering about
This is my first post here. I’ve been a lurker in this sub for a few years and finally decided to put a thought out there that’s been on my mind for some time.
Over the last few years, I’ve noticed the rise of the whole “you go girl / yass queen” type of public encouragement among women. To me, it often feels a bit performative or forced, especially when compared to what I grew up observing.
Traditionally (at least in my experience), women were often portrayed as being competitive with each other, sometimes speaking behind one another’s backs rather than openly supporting each other. What feels puzzling is how suddenly and intensely this public praise and profound solidarity has become common.
What I’m trying to understand is whether this is always real, or whether some of it is driven by social pressure, ideology, or trends rather than authentic feeling.
Do you think this is largely a result of modern feminist movements?
Is it an attempt to recreate something similar to male brotherhood in their own way?
Or, in some cases, does it function more as a group identity built in opposition to men?

Is the Me Too movement overall good or bad?
I don't know very much about the Me Too movement, other than that it's related to sexual harassment and sexual assault.
What are the pros and cons of the movement? Is it overall good or bad?
One thing I know about the Me Too movement is that it's extremely one-sided, and almost entirely focuses on male-to-female sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Empathy about child support
I me agree it sucks that women have all the.power when. It comes to parenthood. It's not fair that if a woman chooses to be a mother, than the father is forced to pay child support. I understand why it happens that way, but I still think it's unfair.
I will say I do think men should have a potential contract with women they sleep with. Before sleeping with them.
The contract would say "in the event if an accidental pregnancy, the woman will get an abortion.
If she changes her mind (which is fair) , she may raise the child herself OR place the child for adoption, and the man will NOT be responsible for child support in this event.
If the woman doesn't sign the man should not sleep with her. If the man sleeps with her without a contract the default would be what we have now.

Is actual modern misogyny real
So, I’m naturally doubtful that real life misogyny actually exists in today’s world, with women’s rights advancing to the point where it’s considered a taboo to do anything to them compared to the double standards towards men. However, one thing that I’ve noticed about myself growing up, which is likely true about others, is that hearing and seeing crazy extremists set the bar super low, for things considered bad (be it bigotry, sinful, etc.) makes one assume that the thing that they’re complaining about doesn’t exist anymore since there are people who act like this. However that’s not really true isn’t it? There’s still real racism towards black people despite the use of the race card. So are there any real misogynists out there forming real misogynist groups? Surely someone here can give me an answer since if they’re real then there’d be people here who as mras would distance themselves from them.

Got molested by senior girl ( part 2 )
Many of u guys responded to my previous story so I wanna share another experience
I 21M was 12or 13 at that time
In front of my house there was a large empty ground where our buses used to parked ( my father is a businessman)
I used to play with my friend who was 10 at that time, we were planning hide and seek cause there were too many buses to hide in .
My friend had a older sister who was ig 17 at that time.
While playing I was trying to find a good place to hide so I went to there home and hide under a bed ( I was completely visible ) soo my friends sister came in and I saw that she saw me, but she pretended that she haven't.
She rome near me and then she said loud and clear " i should change my clothes"
She just started to change but I ran out feeling embedded ( i found it funny cause i thought she was playing with me , silly kiddo right)
Then I and my friend played for a while and went home
In evening i saw my friend and her sister and we started playing hide and seek again
This time me and my friends sister were together hidden between two buses
I don't remember what she said but she put my hand on her chest ( i didn't about sex at that time)
But my hand was there for a while and then she said " do u like me ? " Or something like that I said yes ( liked her as a friend)
Then I was pushed back to the bus and she was in front of me and her face was soo near to my face and she was just seeing me for a while and then she moved closer and kissed me.
She was hugging me and grabbed me fully. doing something that i don't remember tbh. ( I didn't know what to do so I was doing what she wanted)
But next thing i remember was my grandmother came to take me home cause it was getting late .
After some time they and there family moved to some other place and I had never seen them since then .
Well this was another experience of mine which i wanted to share.

Got molested by senior girls
I am in library and I just remembered this and I was like damm i thought this is rare and all. But now that i remember it let's tell u guys about my story.
I am 21M and this happened to me when I was 12 or 13
I was in my school giving exam we got benchs for 3 students to sit on I was sitting between 2 senior girls who were also there to give exam.
(I was a small kiddo so my mom kissed my cheek before i went to school)
Senior girl who was sitting on my right was talking to me and she asked me who kissed u there is a lipstick mark on your cheek
I felt embraced
And things turned at that time
She started pulling my cheek and hugging me
Then she left me for 2 min ( she was thinking something) then she turned to me and she said she got hurt yesterday on her thigh ( she was wearing a skirt)
She was pointing at her thigh lifting her skirt a little, the she asked me if I can check the wound for her and she put my hand in between her thighs, I was touching her thigh with my finger cause i thought she was telling the truth.
Then she told me to have a look ( at that age i didn't know what sex is ) so the innocent me went down the bench and yes I was seeing her thigh and undergarment.
She was seeing me from above and then she told me to come back to my seat fast ( she saw the teacher coming)
After exam she told me something but I don't remember it now
I have another story of a senior girl kissing me ( I was a innocent kiddo) it u guys want i will share it too

How do you respond to being called "incel", "misogynist" or any other shaming buzzword to the same tune?
Looked this up on the comebacks sub but the comments were everything from "if you're getting called that, you must be one", "what did you say in order to be called that" to "you must be a Tate fan" to even calling the OP virgin and making references to serial killers from the blue haired/neckbeard brigade.
There wasn't a single comment with an actual witty comeback.
So figured there might be some better responses here. How would you respond to being called those things?
