This is exactly how the establishment sells bad ideas to the masses.
1. Shine a light on a problem most people want solving, in this case, migrants and the far left rioting.
2. Propose a solution which involves a far reaching and draconian power grab, in this case Palantir.
3. Get people to embrace the draconian response, which will later be used against them if they disagree with the government on an issue such as Israel's power over the US.

When I see the police in LA, it looks like half of them (or more) are Hispanic. This must present a massive conflict of interests when racial disorder breaks out. I would imagine the situation is mirrored in National Guard and local military recruitment too.
