But this is the moral quagmire a lot on the Right find themselves in. They want 'free speech' for themselves but would shut it down for their opponents if they had the power. Leftists do the same. So what argument can you even make against things like hate speech or holocaust denial laws? If the state jails you for 'hate speech' or 'extremism' you can't really make a moral argument against that if you would do the same thing but in reverse. Only a free speech absolutist (or close to it) has a consistent position here.
