The Kremlin's amen corner always goes on and on about how Western powers (EU/US/NATO) have been trying to coerce Ukraine into joining their institutions for years to provoke Russia.
If that's true, then why has Ukraine not been accepted into NATO or the EU yet? It's been almost 9 years since the 2014 Maidan revolution brought to power a pro-Western government, and yet those two institutions have rebuffed all of Ukraine's attempts to join them. If Maidan was all a big conspiracy to pull Ukraine into those two institutions, they would have accepted them immediately. It makes precious little sense why it hasn't happened yet.
There is not even full agreement on this issue in the West. France and Germany have resisted admitting Ukraine into NATO (to get in it requires unanimous consent of all existing members), which they have applied for years ago. Western powers have essentially capitulated to Putin's demands that Ukraine not enter NATO and yet Putin invaded Ukraine on the flimsy pretext that it hasn't given up the ambition to join the alliance.

Only a pure autist who is in denial about their own Marxism would actually use that second one as an argument. That explains half of these "dissident right" thought leaders. Classical Marxists in denial about their Marxism or just trying to trick you into thinking they're something different.

Davis & co. are desperately trying to rehabilitate Marxist economics and classical Marxism in general, so they hone in on these centrist anti-woke types and make their whiny critiques that they shouldn't call it "Cultural Marxism" but something else because they don't want their ideology (Classical Marxism) to take the rap for wokeism. They shift blame onto "capitalists" (Corporate CEOs didn't create any of this, it was all cooked up in Marxist academia, and these capitalists who promote woke shit do so mainly for ideological reasons not financial reasons). George Soros said many times that he supports political progressivism because he's jewish and wants to "prevent another Holocaust". Has nothing to do with finance.
The bit about "but they banned gays in USSR" doesn't mean much because different breeds of Marxists disagree on social issues, just as they quarrel a bit about how to bring about socialist revolution (see Mensheviks vs Bolsheviks, Authoritarian Socialists vs Democratic Socialists). Trotskyites and Fabian Socialists were much more socially liberal and broke with Stalin on some of those issues. And it makes sense why a regime like Stalin's would do that while promoting homosexuality and leftism in the West. They want us to be weak and themselves to be strong. It doesn't make sense for communists to promote dysgenic social practices in their own societies that they already control, but to export that to perceived "capitalist" ones to make them decrepit and thus ripe for revolution. Same reason that the modern Kremlin uses its media like RT to promote weak state hyper-libertarianism in the West (Ron Paul, Adam Kokesh & Alex Jones are darlings of RT) so that our governments move out of the way geopolitically and allow Russia & China to have their way with the world. They of course shut all that down in Russia.
But Davis and co. don't know what to do about people like myself, Jared Howe and Thuletide, who reject both the Marxist econ of that camp and reject the race-blindness/individualism of these centrists like James Lindsay and Jordan Peterson. For people like us, these Marxoids invented a new ad hominem attack, "racist liberal". So they acknowledge that we are race-aware but seek to denigrate us as "liberal" based exclusively on the idea that we don't support their egalitarian economic program, despite the fact that we are not "liberal" in most senses of that word, since we're socially conservative and embrace group identity as the basis of a political movement, which is not something a modern "liberal" would be inclined to do. It's just an Alinskyite psyop they're running because they have no decent arguments against our critiques of their Marxism.

The contention of the communists' here is that "fascism is not socialist enough" and the fascist response is: "yes, it is mate".

Marx and Engels were actually correct about monogamous families giving rise to private property, free trade, hierarchy, and the stratification of socioeconomic "classes" (which are a rigid reification of abstract analytical constructs.)
The big error in their analysis on family was in defining monogamy as exploitative. Monogamy, like private property, is mutually beneficial to the people who respect the institution thereof. We call this cumulative benefit "civilization."
Their opinion was probably based more on the fact that they used to share whores than on any legitimate intellectual or academic contention.
It's not entirely unlike how their exploitation theory of capitalism emerged from out of their aversion to work.
