Are his enemies better than he is? No, in some cases they are worse, but Syrians themselves in cities like Homs and Aleppo seem to be rejoicing in his downfall.
What's interesting to see is how the Alt-Shite Duginoid types pivot from pro-Islam when it comes to groups like Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran, but then turn on it when it comes to the Islamists fighting Assad. They're all cut from the same cloth.
Hamas are not even Shia, they're Sunni Islamists and they supported the Islamic rebels in Syria which is why Iran cut ties with them years ago only to restart relations when that conflict died down.
The Alt-Shite formula is: if the group fights Israel, they are good, if they fight with one of Israel's rivals, like Assad, they are bad.
The rest is just hot air and propaganda.

What Marxism does well is it seizes on the perceived historical oppression of said group (for Jews it's the holocaust; for blacks it's slavery; for Native Americans it's colonialism, etc.) to indoctrinate them into hating and projecting rage against Whitey. None of these players are benevolent and all wish to achieve some sort of dominance. Turkey under Sultan Erdogan is a perilous threat to Europe as he seeks to export his excess population here and implores them to have large families so they can take over Europe through demographics. Israel has been happy to divert refugee flows caused by the fallout of various conflicts they have helped exacerbate towards Europe. Iran uses its English-language media PressTV to propagandize against Western nationalists who oppose Islamization and Islamic immigration.
