I like the entrepreneurship skills I see them developing.
I received 3 of the most beautiful, handmade potholders in exchange for a knife.
I ate the most PERFECT roasted marshmallow I've ever had, the "Sunrise Edition" topped with graham cracker crumbs and stuffed with a Hershey's Kiss inside.
Preorder the strawberry waffles if you get the chance as well!

Right now they attend a good Homeschool group once a week to mingle with other homeschooled kiddos of all ages, it’s a pretty libertarian group of parents as well, I’m probably the most extreme Anarchist of the group.

Kids/young are always welcome...
IMHO, they're one of the real "highlights" of the event, as it's great to see parents who are teaching their children outside of the box.
Jed made "adventure packs" for them at one event and they had a BLAST!

@ElStone I read the weather where you are is supposed to be frightful. Are you getting hit by a bomb cyclone, and if so, can you just check in every now and again to let us know you didn't get washed or blown away?

I love seeing the kids at Midfest. They amaze me with their knowledge of plants to forage, Goldbacks and mercury dimes, and other things. I really enjoyed the talent show last spring.

Interesting. I wasn't aware they actually were accomplishing that. Have seen contradictory information. At one point they claimed it was near my 83 acres, but had video from a place clearly not near here.
Perhaps they are keeping the location private, which would be wise.

The whole month of April is generally good as far as weather goes. Usually no temp below freezing by tax day at the latest. So for nighttime temps the end of the month might be more comfortable in a tent. I’m good with any date though.
