I think Trump/Brexit in 2016 was the warning shot to the Left from ordinary people. If the Left had realised, at that point, that they'd gone too far and reeled back, they'd have been fine, and wouldn't have needed to fear the Right "going dictatorial" as they perennially do. But instead of getting the point, they went ape and spent a decade sabotaging and using open corruption to suppress the Right. The result - everyone thinks they are the most awful duplicitous pieces of shit, and will cheer when the same tactics are eventually used against them. They have a lot to fear, because of their own behaviour since the warning shot. In other words, they have created the right-wing threat that they were hysterical about.

Survivors has an aesthetic that is pretty much unique: wintry English landscapes shot on mid 1970s video. It looks more like a news report than a drama. Since the cameras were soon obsolete, this aesthetic was never reproduced.

There was a danger of White American men rebelling against their dispossession. While “lone wolf” nutcases can be handled and even instrumentalised by the regime, “tribing up”, forming racial communities, poses a real danger to it if done in any large numbers, and this was being encouraged by the insane Woke ideology.

Some thoughts on 'Progress'
I'm passionate about music, as some of you know. Mostly I listen to old music made between the years 1970 and 2000. My young children have become obsessed with several rock and pop acts from the 1980s, so we listen to those together.
This morning I focussed on the production values of a favourite song released in 1991 and how incredibly good it sounds. Everything about the mix, the sound of the instruments, the dynamics, fidelity, everything. It sounds just as good, if not better, than anything I've heard released in the last 5 years. Albums from the 1970s, with their warm analogue recordings, sound so good that bands and studios today can only dream of capturing that sort of quality.
With all of the technological advancement of 2025, nothing in the arts is better than it was 35 years ago. Not the audio production, not the songwriting, not the performances. Not visual art, not literature, not film. Nothing. Media is more easily and cheaply made (via computer tools and now generative AI), but it is not better.
There has been no artistic progress (not even in the quality of recordings).
There has been no spiritual progress (only rediscovery of ancient religion).
There has been no genetic or physical progress, on average.
There has been no social or moral progress.
So what exactly has 'progressed'? Comfort, convenience, injustice, deception and tyranny. Nothing else.
With that in mind, can there be anything worse than being labelled a 'Progressive'?
Radicalism has become a dirty word in Western politics in recent decades. In Britain this was started, not by Tony Blair in the 1990s as is commonly believed, but by Neil Kinnock in the 1980s when he disavowed Militant and “the Loony Left”. That was a strategic necessity at the time, but it was only a temporary measure. Actually from Tony Blair onwards, the disavowal of leftist radicalism reversed.
