The primary purpose of Extinction Rebellion is to keep the state machine's 'net-zero' in the headlines and create the false reality that there is a sizeable and passionate grass-roots movement supporting it, when this lot could hardly fill a village hall with their devotees. But they maintain the illusion that this is an agenda coming from the people, rather in it being an entire;y top-down state/corporate project.
And it's always the same with lefty revolutionaries. They always create nothing but mess, chaos and destruction, like petulant, infants having a tantrum. Why don't they live the ideals that they supposedly stand for and create a living example of their devotion to the cause? They could have off-grid communities that rely entirely on the natural and organic, which would, of course, demand some hard graft and a loss of material comforts. They'd rather carry on with the astroturfed tantrums and enjoy the attention and praise from the bien pensant in the media machine.
