Whatever fragments of the previous order remain, they are now recontextualised and rootless, vulnerable to all sorts of distortion both present and retrospective. The new order will require and demand a certain history that suits its goals, so everything will be repurposed. In short, severe demographic change means that everything - everything - is up for grabs.

The presence of the newcomers obstructs our history from being relevant. Their nature gets in the way, their own history gets in the way, their genes get in the way, their religions get in the way, their overwhelming need to secure their hold on this land gets in the way. Every manner in which they differ from us gets in the way. Diversity is weakness, yes, but more than that, their difference from us means that our history is not their history, only an affront to their presence here.

If blasphemy law had a blind spot with non-Christian religions, hate speech law has a blind spot in that it can never see white people, especially straight white people, as victims. This is utterly irrational.

The little girl in this photograph is Ruby Crane.....from the age of 3 years old Ruby walked blinded soldiers around a rehabilitation centre called St Dunstans at Brighton in Sussex, where Rubys Father was the head gardener....she knew they were blinded and just returned from the first World War.....wandering in the grounds she would take ahold their hand and ask them where they wanted to go ( individual workshops ) and guide them there....people were so affected by little Ruby walking the blind soldiers around they would send her dolls and toys as a thank you for all the support she was giving to the men and women affected by sight loss.....little Ruby was rewarded with a long life as she passed away in her late nineties, in 2011.
Ruby recalled..... " I always remember how my little hand seemed so small in their big hands....they were so pleased to have a child come and talk to them....it was something different away from the monotonous grind of not being able to see things, I think. "

Starkey compares modern mass immigration with historical precedents, saying it is of an entirely different order, and concludes “this is a unique happening, and therefore it has unique consequences”. I agree. The problem is that he doesn’t seem to realise the full implications.
