In response to billionaire Elon Musk’s endorsement of the US-backed Venezuelan opposition and sharing of fake news online, which fuelled riots in Caracas, Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro announced that he is ready to fight Musk, which the billionaire accepted in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) page. Continuing on with the fight rhetoric, Elon Musk used bomb and rocket emojis and threatened to drag the Venezuelan leader to Guantanamo Bay, notorious for torturing prisoners held for crimes they didn’t commit.
Israeli strikes kill Al-Jazeera journalist Ismael al-Ghoul
Israeli occupation forces targeted cameraman Rami Al-Rifi and Ismael Al-Ghoul, both of whom were working for Al-Jazeera Arabic, with a missile strike on their car. A video was released from the scene of the attack, featuring the much loved Ismael Al-Ghoul decapitated, with only his press vest visible from the car he was sitting in.
Palestine Action shut down a factory in Staffordshire that produces engines for Israeli drones used against civilians in Gaza.
Targeting Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons company, Palestine Actionists shut down a factory based in Staffordshire, U.K., that produces UAV engines. These drone components are crucial for continuing the supply of arms to Israeli occupation forces while they commit genocide against the people of Gaza.

Hezbollah announces the assassination of Fuad Shukr, the highest military figure in the movement and top war commander.
The assassination of Fuad Shukr, also known as Sayed Mohsen, occurred during Israel's attack yesterday on a residential building in Beirut's southern suburbs. Fuad was the top military advisor to Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and the director of the resistance group’s military operations.
Prior to his assassination, the U.S. Treasury Department had offered a reward of up to $5 million for information about Sayed Mohsen.

Israeli soldiers record themselves pouring gasoline to burn a Palestinian home, including personal items, in Gaza for fun
Yet another has surfaced featuring Israeli soldiers covering a civilian home in gasoline and burning it down, in order to prevent the displaced family from re-inhabiting their home. This is but one of hundreds of snuff films recorded by soldiers, used to brag about the destruction of property and mock Palestinians that they are subjecting to a genocide.
Israel has bombed Beirut, killing at least two people and injuring a number of others, targeting a building in the Dahiyeh suburb.
As a result of the strike an entire building collapsed next to the Bahman Hospital, causing damage to the medical facility and inflicting civilian casualties. The target of the strike was reportedly a high ranking leader in Hezbollah. This escalation threatens to lead to a tit for tat between Israel and Lebanon, possibly leading to an all-out war.

As more testimonies and evidence emerges from inside Sde Teiman, a detention facility that holds thousands of Palestinians without a charge at an Israeli military base in Al-Naqab (the Negev), the conditions at the torture facility appear to be even worse than previously believed. Systematic sexual abuse, the rape of prisoners with burning and electrocution rods, other kinds of torture, starvation, urinating on prisoners and much more have been reported, in addition to at least 36 who have been tortured to death there.
Since the Israeli ground attack began in Khan Yunis, at least 300 bodies have been collected by medical responders in Gaza.
This takes place after a report was released indicating that at least 20,000 children remain trapped in the rubble as a result of Israel's indiscriminate bombing campaign.

These soldiers are currently under investigation following the rape and subsequent hospitalisation of a Palestinian prisoner.

Chants of “Blinken go home!” and “you are not welcome” could be heard from demonstrators that took to the streets in opposition to the U.S. support for Israel and calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza. As part of Antony Blinken’s visit, he met with his Japanese counterparts to declare the establishment of a new U.S. military headquarters there to counter China, further stirring another potential conflict in Asia.

After the outbreak of anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim demonstrations across the UK, encouraged by the spread of disinformation from right-wing social media influencers that claimed a horrific mass stabbing attack against children was committed by a Muslim asylum seeker, the British Labour government has responded by strengthening surveillance measures. As it turned out, the 17-year-old who committed the heinous crime was born in the UK, and he is not Muslim. While Starmer’s measures come in response to the violent unrest, there are fears over how this may affect peaceful protests and minority communities in the country.
