Israel destroys Syria’s advanced capabilities in 48-hour air campaign
As Israeli soldiers continue to occupy more Syrian territory, their airforce launched the what it called the largest attack in its history against all major Syrian military assets. Everything from Syria’s naval fleet, to its fighter jets, helicopters, research centres and missile caches were destroyed. No resistance has come to this from the new Syrian government, while HTS and other groups fail to release a single statement on the issue.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned the recent invasion of Syria, emphasising that Israel’s actions represent “continued violations of international law and a deliberate effort to undermine Syria’s efforts to restore its security, stability, and territorial integrity.”
The Qatari Foreign Ministry also weighed in, labelling the Israeli incursion as “a dangerous development and a blatant attack on Syria’s sovereignty and unity, constituting a flagrant violation of international law.”
Meanwhile, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement denouncing Israel’s actions, describing the seizure of Syrian land as “an occupation of Syrian territories and a clear violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.”
Both Türkiye and Al-Jolani are still silent on the matter.

Nasruddin Amer, a spokesperson for Ansarallah, took to X and stated, "Our embassy in Syria was closed by Bashar in exchange for the opening of the Saudi embassy." The spokesperson subsequently confirmed that in October 2023, the ambassador and embassy personnel had to make their way back to Yemen.
