Trump’s VP pick, JD Vance, is funded and backed by Peter Thiel, a key pro-Israel figure in the deep state apparatus whose famous consonant company Palantir contracts with US intelligence agencies and Israel's Mossad.
While Trump has campaigned as a populist and claimed to be anti-war, his cabinet picks have continuously been pro-war, pro-establishment figures that promote war with Iran, expand the US sanctions regime, ensure pro-Israel policies continue, and expand surveillance on Americans to create an Orwellian nightmare.
The images of a defiant Trump, surrounded by bodyguards, his arm raised in the air, have gone viral, with many supporters claiming that they represent the most iconic, powerful pictures of all time.
But this assertion was strongly challenged by many on social media, who suggested their own, more powerful political images – ones with a far more progressive, radical or revolutionary undertone to them.

Yemen stands defiant in the face of Israeli bombs
In defiance of Israel's weekend attack against Yemen's Hodeida port, a Yemeni military source tells MintPress that the Yemeni army will continue to respond to Israel's genocide in Gaza, no matter the price for Yemen.
All hospitals are not equal. The media and international community display double-standards in how they address attacks on Gaza versus Ukraine
Israel’s deliberate attacks on Gaza’s healthcare system and hospitals are the worst of any conflict in the world at this time, yet this is not reflected in the corporate media’s coverage, nor in the response of much of the international community. While Western leaders instantly render judgments and condemn Russia, the opposite is the case when it comes to Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilian infrastructure. In the case of Israel’s attack on Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the US government even falsely suggested that the medical complex was being used as a Hamas military base and hence justified the invasion of the hospital. Following numerous massacres at the hospital, Washington refused to apologise for its role in facilitating the Israeli assaults and has failed to issue a single condemnation.

Following the attempt on Donald Trump’s life, political leaders have joined a chorus of denunciations, all agreeing that political violence has no place in America. Yet the U.S. itself has constantly used assassinations and other forms of political violence against its enemies all over the world. This includes Donald Trump himself, who ordered the assassination of Iranian leader Qassem Soleimani.

Two-thirds of Democrats want US President Joe Biden to stand down
A new AP-NORC poll finds that roughly two-thirds of Democratic Party voters want Biden to step down, as only 3 in 10 Democrats are extremely or very confident that he has the mental capability to serve effectively as president.
This comes as a major blow to the candidate hoping to win a second term in office, who has previously argued that most Democrats back him, despite dissenting voices. Another development, according to the polling data, is that Vice President Kamala Harris has a similar favourability rating to President Biden.
An Oxfam report, entitled Water War Crimes, finds that Israel’s deliberate reduction of water access in Gaza has put civilians at under a third of the recommended minimum
Israel's cutting of the external water supply, systematic destruction of water facilities and deliberate aid obstruction have reduced the amount of water available in Gaza by 94%, to 4.74 liters a day per person, says Oxfam. This information has to be coupled with the fact that 97% of Gaza’s water was already considered undrinkable prior to the beginning of the war in October, meaning that much of the water that people do have access to is untreated and is causing a range of health problems, including a variety of diseases.
The Israeli Knesset has passed legislation rejecting the creation of a Palestinian State, calling such a development an ‘existential danger’ to Israel
The bill, which passed with 68 vote in favour and only 9 against, effectively rejects a “two-State solution” and kills the Oslo Accords signed with the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) between 1993-5.
Benny Gantz, the most popular opposition figure who is likely to become Prime Minister after the departure of Benjamin Netanyahu, also voted in favour of the legislation.
Technically, this should mean that the West Bank Palestinian Authority (PA) should now break ties with Israel, including their infamous Security Coordination, yet no such move has come.

The U.S. announces the Gaza aid pier mission is complete after delivering only one day's worth of food to the strip
The Pentagon announced the "completion" of the $230 million pier mission two months after its launch. At a news briefing yesterday, Navy Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, deputy commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM), stated, "The maritime surge mission involving the pier is complete. Therefore, there's no further need to use the pier."
Due to the UN halting its operations after the Nuseirat camp massacre on June 8, hardly any aid delivered through the US-built pier reached the starving Palestinians in Gaza. Reports suggest that only one day's worth of food was delivered.
