Not only has the Olympics caused outrage by banning Russia over its actions in Ukraine but refusing to treat Israelis the same way, the athletes competing on behalf of Israelis have actively participated in the military force that is inflicting an ongoing genocide.

Rejecting the notion that Netanyahu represents them, a Jewish-American scholar based at the Grand Satmar Synagogue said, “Stay out of our country." He added that “whenever he comes to the US, Netanyahu acts as if he represents the Jewish people. Even our brothers in the Holy Land suffer from his actions and laws."

Over 14 Palestinian political factions met in Beijing, China, to discuss a path forward towards forming a unity government and ending the decades-long split between Gaza and the West Bank. Rapprochement between the leading Palestinian factions would be a significant step, particularly between Hamas, who govern the Gaza Strip, and Fatah, which has partial control over areas of the West Bank, who have been at odds since Hamas foiled a U.S.-backed coup attempt led by Fatah.

Reports have surfaced accusing Italy of helping Israeli F-35 fighter jets refuel while attacking Yemen’s civilian port of Hodeidah
While Israel claims to have acted alone, the accusation of Italian involvement casts further doubt upon this. In 2021, Israeli F-35 fighter jets trained in Italy, with the drill being dubbed ‘Falcon Strike 2021’ and being focused on joint action against Iran. This 2022 drill dubbed “Lightning Shield” saw Italian and Israeli F-35 pilots train together in order to strengthen combat readiness, including conducting refuelling missions.
According to Axios, the US, Israel, and the UAE held a secret meeting in Abu Dhabi last Thursday to discuss Gaza's future after the Israeli war on the strip.
The meeting was hosted by Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah Bin Zayed. UAE authorities expressed their willingness to contribute troops as part of a multinational force to manage Gaza in collaboration with a "reformed" Palestinian Authority (PA). Netanyahu urged the UAE to send troops, finance rehabilitation efforts, and overhaul Gaza's education system to "deradicalize" the population.

In what activists have called “fort Netanyahu,” accusing their government of militarising the streets for a foreign leader, the U.S. police response to mass demonstrations against Israel’s genocide in Gaza is expected to be violent. "What kind of person is it that you need this much protection for? It's a war criminal!" said Codepink co-founder Jodie Evans.

Germany bans the Islamic Centre of Hamburg over alleged support for Hezbollah
The German authorities crack down on Muslim groups they accuse of having ties to Hezbollah. German police have so far raided over 50 properties and issued bans on the Islamic Centre of Hamburg (IZH), in addition to five other suborganizations, accusing them of being supportive of Hezbollah due to their connections to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Nancy Faeser, the Interior Minister of Germany, claimed the group and its “sub-organisations” support the Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah and are spreading "aggressive antisemitism.”
Israeli occupation forces readiness for war with Hezbollah dwindles
According to Maariv, Israeli occupation forces, who depend significantly on reservists, are increasingly losing their ability to conduct a full-scale war against Hezbollah and Lebanon. This extreme decline in readiness is attributed to the resistance in Gaza, who have fought Israeli occupation forces day in and day out for nearly 300 days.
According to the report, there is "growing exhaustion" among the numerous reserve battalions deployed in both Gaza and the northern regions fighting against the Lebanese resistance. Illegal settlers in the northern parts of the occupied Palestinian territories have evacuated in their hundreds of thousands due to constant operations carried out by Hezbollah in support of Gaza.
The Iraqi government is reportedly demanding that the U.S. withdraw from their country completely, following nine months of regional conflagration.
Iraq wants all troops from the US-led military coalition to begin withdrawing in September and to formally end the coalition’s work by September 2025, according to Iraqi sources who spoke with Reuters. If signed into law and formally requested, this could mean that the American justification for their deployment of forces, which states they are helping to fight ISIS, will no longer be a legal basis for their presence on Iraqi soil.

Israel occupation forces have completely or partially destroyed almost every hospital in the Gaza Strip in a systematic fashion, rendering all 36 hospitals non-functional. While Hamas was accused of using hospitals as military bases, headquarters, and for other military purposes, it is actually Israeli occupation forces that have been the only force operating in Gaza to have been proven to do this. Not only do Israeli forces operate out of hospitals, use patients as human shields as per human rights reports, and conduct mass killings, they also post videos to social media to brag about some of their activities there.

After the Olympics ignored petitions from grassroots anti-war activists to have Israel banned from the Paris 2024 Games, the French authorities are doubling down and providing extra security details to the athletes that the Olympics will proudly host as they commit genocide in the Gaza Strip. While Russian athletes are only allowed to compete as independents and banned from even displaying their flag over Moscow’s war with Kiev, Israel pays no price. This double-standard approach has been branded as racist by pro-Palestinian protesters, who point out the fact that the Olympics appear to value white European lives over Palestinian lives.

Adidas commits over $150 million to groups "fighting antisemitism," including the Israel lobby group the Anti-Defamation League (ADL)
Amid controversy over removing Bella Hadid from advertisements for the SL72 sports shoes, Adidas announced plans earlier this year to donate over $150 million to organisations combating "antisemitism" and other forms of "hate." Among the organisations that will receive this money is the Israel lobby group, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
These significant donations followed the German company's decision to cut ties with Kanye West, using proceeds from Yeezy shoe sales. Adidas has an existing partnership with the ADL, having already contributed $1 million to the organisation last November.
