Chile to enact law banning imports from the Israeli-occupied West Bank
Chilean President Gabriel Boric is set to intensify pressure on Israel over their continued war on Gaza. Speaking before Congress in Valparaíso, Boric said he will enact a law to ban imports from Israel's "illegally occupied territories."
Boric also expressed support for Spain's initiative to impose an arms embargo on Israel.

The vessel Madleen, operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, has set sail to break the Israeli siege on Gaza. Onboard are around a dozen activists, including notable figures such as Greta Thunberg, actor Liam Cunningham, and humanitarian Rima Mobarak.
The journey to Gaza is expected to take approximately seven days—provided the group is not intercepted along the way.
UN says 100% of Palestinians in Gaza at risk of famine
The UN identified Gaza as the only place on Earth where the entire population is at risk of famine.
Dubbed the 'hungriest place on earth', Jens Laerke, spokesperson for the UN's humanitarian agency OCHA, stated today, "Gaza is the hungriest place on earth."
Laerke added, "It's the only defined area—a country or a fully blockaded territory within a country—where you have the entire population at risk of famine."
A global campaign called the “Global March to Gaza” has been launched, aiming to unite more than 10,000 activists from over 32 countries. The initiative brings together a diverse coalition of trade unions, human rights organisations, solidarity movements, activists, and healthcare professionals. Their shared goal is to peacefully enter the Gaza Strip on foot in protest against the ongoing genocide and blockade.
The march is set to begin in Cairo on June 12, after which the group will travel to Al-Arish and subsequently proceed on foot toward the Gaza border.
The marchers plan to camp at the Rafah border crossing as a form of nonviolent protest, applying peaceful pressure to open the crossing and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Taking to X, the representative stated, “Nothing can justify the number of civilian casualties (tens of thousands of women and children) inflicted by Israel in Gaza in the last two years.
