👂 The Importance of Listening Correctly 👂
In ancient times, a king sent a messenger to the ruler of neighboring lands. The messenger arrived late, and rushing into the throne room, breathless from his fast ride, began delivering his lord's message:
"My master... commanded me to tell you to give him... a blue horse with a black tail... and if you don't provide such a horse, then..."
"I don't want to hear any more!" interrupted the king, cutting off the panting messenger. "Tell your king that I don't have such a horse, and if I did, then..."
He paused, and the messenger, hearing these words from the king, who was his master's friend, got scared, ran out of the palace, jumped on his horse, and rushed back to report the insolent reply to his king. When the king heard this report, he became furious and declared war on the neighboring king. The war lasted a long time—much blood was shed, many lands were ravaged—and it cost both sides dearly.
Finally, both kings, having depleted their treasuries and exhausted their armies, agreed to a truce to discuss their grievances.
When they began negotiations, the second king asked the first:
"What did you mean by your phrase: 'Give me a blue horse with a black tail, and if you don't, then...'?"
"...send a horse of another color." That's all. And what did you mean by your reply: 'I don't have such a horse, and if I did, then...'?"
"...I would certainly send it as a gift to my good neighbor."
That's all. 🤝

💬 Improving Relationships: Change Your Communication Style ❤️
To save relationships, it's essential to change your communication style. 💬💑
It's not your weaknesses or shortcomings that destroy marriages. It's not about the individuals but about what happens between them. The root cause of conflicts lies in disrupted interaction systems. 🚫❤️
Over the past decades, significant changes have occurred in society. There's been a crisis in the institution of marriage: roughly every second union ends in divorce, and more people are choosing not to form families at all. This prompts us to rethink what constitutes a "good marital life." In the past, when marriage was more role-based, it was clear that each partner had specific functions to fulfill, and that was sufficient to sustain the marriage.
Today, all roles have blurred, and importantly, there are numerous expectations and high demands for the emotional quality of shared life. For instance, there's an expectation that we should be happy every minute in marriage. If that feeling is absent, the relationship is deemed wrong and bad. We expect our partner to be everything: a friend, lover, parent, therapist, business partner... In short, fulfilling all necessary roles.
In modern marriage, there are no longer universally accepted rules on how to live well together. It's based on feelings, relationships, and specific meanings, making it very fragile and prone to dissolution.
How does communication work?
The main source of family problems is relationships. And relationships are the result of people's behavior and how their communication is organized. It's not about one partner being bad. We're all good enough to live together normally. Each of us has the tools to build an optimal interaction system within the family. The sickness can be in the relationship, in communication, and that's what needs to change.
Rewriting the story
Communication and behavior are essentially the same thing. Whatever you do, you're sending your partner a message, whether you intend to or not. And they interpret it somehow. You don't know how it will be interpreted and how it will affect the relationship. The communication system of a couple encompasses individual traits, their expectations, and intentions.

🌱 Caring for Future Generations 🌱
King Anushirvan, also known as the Just, once went on a pilgrimage across the country at the time when the Prophet Muhammad was born.
On a sunlit mountain slope, he saw an elderly man bent over his work.
Accompanied by his courtiers, the king approached and saw that the old man was planting small saplings, no more than a year old. 🌱
"What are you doing?" asked the king.
"I am planting walnut trees," the old man replied.
The king was surprised: "But you are so old. Why plant saplings whose leaves you will not see, in whose shade you will not rest, and whose fruits you will not taste?" 🤔
The old man looked at him and answered: "Those who came before us planted, and we reaped the fruits. Now we plant so that those who come after us may also reap the fruits." 🍂

🚫 Unattainable Goals 🎯
"I must make everyone happy" 😊
The truth is, it's technically impossible. Every individual is responsible for their own state, whether they are happy or not. Often, this situation is mirrored in relationships with the opposite sex. Surely, you've experienced a relationship where you invested emotionally and materially in your partner, giving and giving, yet receiving only dissatisfaction and a gloomy demeanor in return. 💔😞
"I must be perfect" 😇
We've finally found the key to success! All you need to do is be perfect and never make mistakes. And indeed, all successful people are such perfect beings, just angels in the flesh, with no mistakes or scandalous stories behind them. We hope you catch the irony in these words. 😏
"All my projects must be successful" 📈
This unattainable goal goes hand in hand with the previous one. In reality, you are panic-stricken about being criticized for mistakes. The two biggest fears that paralyze us are the fear of failure and the fear of criticism or judgment. 😰
"I must satisfy and please 100% of my clients" 🍬
Absolutely unattainable under any circumstances! You’re not a candy to please everyone. Imagine standing on the street handing out 20 euro bills. There will always be a few people who walk by. We don't recommend trying this experiment. 🚶♂️
"I must achieve all my goals by 25, 30, 40, 50, 60 years old" 🏡
Often, we hear that a goal is a dream with a concrete deadline. We live under the pressure of the mantra "build a house by 25, have kids by 30," and so on. In real life, achieving goals takes twice as long as we allowed or planned. 🕰️

🎁 The Gift 🎁
A husband and wife had been married for 30 years. On their 30th anniversary, the wife, as usual, baked a bun — she baked it every morning; it was a tradition. 🥖
At breakfast, she cut it in half, buttered both parts, and as usual, she offered her husband the top half. But halfway through, her hand stopped...
She thought, "On our 30th anniversary, I want to eat this golden part of the bun myself; I’ve been dreaming about it for 30 years. After all, I have been an exemplary wife for 30 years, raised wonderful sons for him, been a faithful and good lover, managed the household, and put so much effort and health into our family."
Making this decision, she handed the bottom half of the bun to her husband, her hand trembling — breaking a 30-year tradition!
Her husband, taking the bun, said to her, "What an invaluable gift you’ve given me today, my love! For 30 years, I haven’t eaten my favorite, the bottom part of the bun, because I thought it rightfully belonged to you." 💕

✨ 4 Exercises to Boost Self-Esteem 💪
A series of setbacks at work or in personal life can throw us off track and make us doubt ourselves. In such moments, it’s easy to succumb to the mood and fall into despair. Regaining self-belief is possible only by restoring mental clarity. 🧠
Develop What Works 💼
To regain self-belief and boost self-esteem, don’t try to improve areas where you are most vulnerable. For instance, if you struggle with public speaking and enroll in a public speaking course, seeing others succeed might only deepen your gloom. Instead, focus on enhancing the skills you are already good at.
Ask Loved Ones 🗣️
Talking to someone who is supportive can help you see your abilities in a new light. You can reach out to a friend, colleague, or family member and explain that you need their help to better understand your strengths and weaknesses. Ask questions like, “At what moment, under what circumstances, in what activity did I, in your opinion, show myself as knowledgeable and experienced?”
Write Down Your Actions 📝
How to evaluate your actions more objectively? You don’t need to deny the obvious or find only the positive in everything. Just distance yourself from past beliefs and fundamentally change your thinking pattern. Acknowledge your doubts: “I don’t feel capable enough for this.” ✍️
Set Realistic Goals 🎯
Many think perfectionism is for ambitious and self-confident people. But that’s not entirely true. It’s common among many of us, often manifesting as self-reproach (“I’m not good enough”) rather than a motivator (“I can do better”). Being a perfectionist means focusing on unattainable goals. Striving for perfection denies us the right to make mistakes. Any slip-up will undermine our self-esteem, instilling a sense of helplessness and insecurity that ultimately affects all areas of our lives. 🌟

🌸 The Nightingale and the Bush 🌸
One day, a nightingale saw a flowering bush and decided to sit on it and wait for the fruits. He sat for many months, not letting other birds come close so he wouldn’t have to share. 🐦❌
But then the flower turned into a pod, the pod burst, and white flakes flew around because it was a cotton bush.
A cuckoo flew by and said to the nightingale:
"You see, if you had let us near, we would have told you where the edible fruits are. But you didn’t let anyone close, and now you’re punished for your greed."
Those who think only of themselves deprive themselves of the help of others. 🤝

🌟 Principles of Successful and Happy People. Part 2 😊
"I am ready to learn and teach others" 📚👩🏫
Happy individuals understand that in life, whether willingly or not, they will need to learn and grow. Everyone around them can serve as a role model. They also strive to set an example for others, especially children and young people. 🌟👶
"I can be both a team member and a leader" 🏅🤝
Happy people know that in some situations, they can take the lead, while in others, they need to work as part of a team for a common goal. They seek solutions that benefit everyone and are open to cooperation. 🌍🔗
"I try not to be too serious and keep my sense of humor" 😄🎭
Happy people aim to enjoy life and interactions as much as possible. They use humor to lighten the mood and create a joyful and fun atmosphere without hurting others' feelings. 🌈🎉
"I am grateful for everything I have, had, and will have" 🙏💖
Happy people appreciate everything they have and always try to find the positive side. They regularly express gratitude to others and emphasize how much they value them. 🌟💐
"I strive to make balanced and harmonious decisions" ⚖️🧘♂️
Happy individuals understand how daily decisions impact their health and well-being. They seek to maintain balance in life and adopt a mindset that promotes emotional stability, helps them believe in themselves, and their ability to make the right decisions, learn from mistakes, and generally "understand life." 🌿🌼

🐱 Parable About Catching Your Happiness 🐱
An old wise cat was lying on the grass, basking in the sun. 🌞 A little swift kitten dashed past her, somersaulting, then jumping up and running in circles again. 🐾
"What are you doing?" the cat lazily inquired. 😺
"I'm trying to catch my tail!" the kitten replied, panting. 🐾
"But why?" the cat laughed.
"I was told that my tail is my happiness. If I catch my tail, I'll catch my happiness. So I've been running after my tail for three days now. But it keeps slipping away from me."
The old cat smiled in the way only old cats can and said:
"When I was young, I was also told that my happiness was in my tail. I spent many days chasing my tail and trying to catch it. I didn't eat, I didn't drink, I just ran after my tail. I would collapse from exhaustion, get up, and try to catch my tail again. At some point, I lost hope. And I just started walking wherever my eyes took me. And you know what I suddenly noticed?" 🌟
"What?" the kitten asked in surprise. 😮
"I noticed that wherever I went, my tail always followed me." 😺
You don't have to chase happiness. Choose your own path, and happiness will walk with you. 🚶♂️🌈

Principles of Successful and Happy People 🌟
"I am 100% responsible for my life, decisions, and what I create" 💪
Happy people have shed the unhealthy habit of blaming others, which fills the mind with lies and a sense of powerlessness. Instead, they focus on finding solutions and taking action. They consciously choose to be happy — regardless of results and events. 😊
"I clearly understand what I want from life, my plans, and aspirations" 🎯
It's no coincidence that happiness often accompanies success. Happy people set goals, clearly envisioning what they want to achieve in life or in a specific situation. They know exactly who they want to be (and this strengthens their character). They think positively, boosting their confidence. Mistakes and failures are just opportunities to reflect on life and learn lessons. 📈
"I am active and engaged, always striving for success and improvement" 🚀
Happy individuals seek out outstanding qualities in themselves and others, continually trying to improve life for themselves and those around them. They view any challenges as opportunities for growth and confidence-building. They enjoy finding ways to turn difficulties to their advantage. When facing hardships, they focus on potential solutions rather than the problem itself. 💡
"I am not afraid to tell the truth and always strive to treat myself and others with honesty and respect" 🗣️
Happy people strive to be as honest as possible with themselves and others. They are sincere but avoid blaming others when speaking the truth, to not alienate the listener. This helps them maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, keeping hope and enthusiasm alive. 🌈
"I am disciplined, always taking care of myself and everything I love" 🏋️
Happy people understand the importance of self-discipline and work to develop it. They know that getting rid of bad habits that hinder success and developing new, more effective ones takes time and constant effort. On the contrary, those who constantly look for others to blame for their failures provoke negative emotions and increased production of harmful substances in the body, draining energy and adversely affecting the brain. 🧠

🧹 The Janitor Parable 🧹
A man applies for a janitor position at Microsoft. In HR, they ask questions, conduct tests, and finally inform him:
"Congratulations, you’re hired. Please leave your email – we’ll notify you about your work schedule."
"Actually, I don’t even have a computer," the man admits, "let alone an email."
"Unfortunately, we can’t employ you. You don’t exist virtually, and operational communication with all Microsoft employees via email is a key aspect of our company."
With no other option, the man leaves and starts thinking about how to earn money for a computer. He has $30 in his pocket. He buys 10 kg of apples from a farmer, goes to a busy street, and sells the "tasty and healthy eco-products." For a few hours, his initial capital doubles, and after 6 hours, it increases tenfold. He realizes that at this pace, he can live without an employer. 📈
Time passes, he buys a car, opens a small kiosk, then a store, and within 5 years, he owns a chain of supermarkets. And now, he comes to insure his business, and the insurance agent asks him to leave his email for beneficial offers. Our businessman, as many years ago, replies that he has neither an email nor a computer.
"Simply amazing!" the insurer exclaims, "such a huge business – and not even a personal computer! What could you have achieved if you had one?!"
To which the businessman replies:
"Then I would have become a janitor at Microsoft." 💼
Moral: If you don’t have something, maybe you don’t need it? 💡

🌟 What Sport Will Help You Deal With Emotions? 🌟
😢 Sadness
👉 What you need: Movement and interaction. When you're sad, you often don't feel like doing either, wanting instead to retreat within. It's not about suddenly jumping up and getting energized; instead, try finding something that will help you ease into movement.
🏐 Sport to choose: Volleyball, especially beach volleyball with two players on each team. With the ball constantly in the air, there's little time for overthinking or dwelling. The two-player format makes it easier to communicate. If volleyball doesn't work out, jump rope with your kids or try out a Zumba dance fitness program.
😡 Anger
👉 What you need: Activities without aggression and with fewer participants, paired with breathing techniques. Outbursts of anger often disrupt your breathing rhythm, so learning to handle this is key.
🥋 Sport to choose: Eastern martial arts like Aikido. These practices help tame anger by emphasizing empathy and acceptance. The idea isn't to defeat an attacker but to deflect the attack.
😨 Fear
👉 What you need: Sports that reinforce your sense of safety, helping you build courage and personal growth. Becoming an active player will strengthen your sense of responsibility and help you realize that you can't control everything, nor should you.
🧗 Sport to choose: Rock climbing, especially on an indoor climbing wall. Overcome your fear of heights and emptiness while knowing you're securely held by a harness or instructor. It's a great way to build trust in yourself and others.
