Cesária Évora (August 1941 – 17 December 2011) commonly known as Cize, was a Cape Verdean singer-songwriter She received a Grammy Award in 2004 for her album Voz d'Amor. Nicknamed the "Barefoot Diva" for performing without shoes was the "Queen of Morna"
Morna is widely considered the national music of Cape Verde as is the fado for Portugal, the tango for Argentina, the merengue for Dominican Republic, the rumba for Cuba, and so on.

She was born in 1936. was an Ethiopian soul singer who was popular in the 1960s and 1970s. Bizunesh has been called the "Aretha Franklin of Ethiopia"and the "First Lady of Addis" .Bizunesh recorded popular songs in the 1970s such as "Chenk Tibeb" and "Ayasayegn chinkun". She sang in the Amharic, oromiffa language. She sometimes sang with the Gurage singer Mahmoud Ahmed. They were both known for appearing with the Imperial Body Guard Band or the Dahlak Banb.
She is featured on the recording Ethiopian Groove - The Golden Seventies
She passed away on June 25, 1990
