Austin Ekeler is 1 of 7 players in NFL history with at least 30 rushing TDs and 30 receiving TDs in his career.
Here is every member of the 30/30 club:
|Player|Rush TD|Receiving TD|
:-:|:-:|:-:|
|Marshall Faulk|100|36|
|Lenny Moore|63|48|
|James Brooks|49|30|
|Frank Gifford|34|43|
|John David Crow|38|35|
|Brian Westbrook|41|30|
|Austin Ekeler|39|30|
Lenny Moore is the only player in the 40/40 club (and he damn near made a 50/50 club)
McCaffrey needs just 1 more receiving TD to join the 30/30 club, and Kamara is 7 receiving TDs away. No other active players are in the 20/20 club.

Fun Fact: Both Brock Purdy and George Kittle ended up on the 49ers because of C.J. Beathard.
Going into the 2017 draft the Niners were very high up on Beathard and were watching a lot of his film. So much so that according to GM John Lynch they couldn't help but notice his tight end who wasn't even on their radar and who they didn't know of previously:
> “I would say he and we were probably the benefactor from us putting a lot of time in on C.J. Beathard early and then finding out who’s this number 46.” Lynch said. “They don’t throw it much but this guy can run and he can block and football is really important to him. He’s got some funky movements to him that maybe at first you don’t see a crazy athlete, but the more you watch him, he’s always pulling away from people. And there’s a toughness to his play. There’s a will that speaks through the film.”
In that 2017 draft the Niners would use their 3rd round pick (#104) on Beathard and their 5th round pick (#146) on Kittle.
After 2020 Beathard left in free agency for Jacksonville so the Niners were handed a 7th round compensatory pick. We all know who they used that very last pick of the draft on.
Beathard turned out to be nothing more than a back up QB but as a Niner fan I can't thank him enough for our success. It's impossible to overstate the role he played--unwitting as it may be--in shaping our future.

John Harbaugh vs. Mike McCarthy: I truly do not understand why the narratives around these two coaches are so wildly different despite the fact their records and accomplishments are nearly identical. What gives?
Both of these coaches once again this season suffered a humiliating playoff loss to end their seasons. But the Cowboy's game wasn't even over before fans and talking heads were calling for MM's head on a stick
Meanwhile literally nobody demanded Harbs be fired immediately. Somehow it was Lamar's fault for not scrambling and Moncken's fault for abandoning the run game, etc. Everybody's fault but Harbs.
Career Records
Mike McCarthy Career: 178–113–2 (.611)
John Harbaugh Career: 172–109 (.612)
LIterally identical
Post Season
Harbs: 12–10 (.545)
MM: 11–11 (.500)
Edge to Harbs but multiple of those games for both coaches could have gone either way but for a bad bounce or what have you. Its very close.
Both coaches have one ring. Both of those rings were won with a QB who went on an frickin tear and absolutely dominated the entire post season. Both have never been back to the big game after that victory.
Both routinely rack up regular season wins and division titles, and both routinely spectacularly flame out in the post season. Both coaches are talked about by players very positively.
And yet the narratives are wildly different. After every playoff loss people are grabbing their heads and screaming for MM to be fired. Meanwhile Harbs just coasts along, everybody seems perfectly okay with the job he is doing. Somehow with Harbs its ALWAYS the OC's fault. Whoever that currently is, he is the fall guy. Remember when Greg Roman was the worst human being who ever lived? Yeah.
Its odd. I don't get it. Explain.
