‍ "Cobain and the other members of Nirvana, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl made a statement coming out against proposed 1992 Oregon legislation that would have stripped non-discrimination protections from the LGBTQ community. “Measure 9 goes against American traditions of mutual respect and freedom, and Nirvana wants to do their part to end bigotry and narrow-mindedness everywhere,” Nirvana collectively said. The band played a benefit concert to formally oppose the law, which ultimately failed to pass."

Kurt Cobain's smashed Fender guitar sells for almost $600,000

It features the signatures of Nirvana's three members — Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl — along with an inscription by Cobain addressed to the late Screaming Trees lead singer Mark Lanegan. According to Julien's Auctions, Cobain gave the guitar to Lanegan during Nirvana's Nevermind tour in 1992.

گیتار شکسته شده ی کرت کوبین در حراجی جولین کالیفرنیا با قیمت نزدیک به 600 هزار دلار فروخته شد.

این گیتار که امضای حک شده اعضای گروه نیز روی آن قرار دارد‌، در جریان تور سال 1992 به مایک لانیگان اهدا شده بود.

در این مراسم گیتار ارتیست هایی همچون ادی فن هلن، مايكل جكسون و بونو نیز به حراج گذاشته شده بود.
