تصحیح نسخ خطی به‌روش درست از ضرورت‌های علمی است، ما با داشتن بیشترین ذخایر نسخ خطی جهان اسلام هنوز هم نتوانستیم وضعیت نسخه‌شناسی را به‌سامان بکنیم، دلیلش هم مشخص است: این کار نیازمند بودجه و توجه اساسی است که متاسفانه در اینجا این قبیل کارها ارزش ندارد، میلیاردها دلار بودجه هزینهٔ کارهای غیرضروری می‌شود ولی برای کارهای بنیادی علمی هزینه نمی‌شود.
اوضاع نسخ تصحیح‌شدهٔ فلسفی و عرفانی مبیّن این نکته است که ما حتی در ابتدای راه هم نیستیم، تصحیح‌های مغلوط سیدجلال‌الدین آشتیانی از آثار فلسفی و عرفانی در دهه‌های اخیر نمونهٔ برجستهٔ این کاستی است.
خانم دکتر بنفشه افتخاری یکی از معدود افرادی است که سعی می‌کنند روش‌های نسخه‌شناسی جدید را آموزش دهند (مثل برگزاری دوره نسخه‌شناسی مقدماتی و پیشرفته) واضح است که اولین گام در این راستا آموزش اصول درست است، چه اینکه هنوز همین دانش تصحیح علمی و جدید مبتنی بر هوش مصنوعی را هم بلد نیستیم. از این رو شرکت در این دوره را برای تمام رشته‌هایی که به‌نحوی با نسخ خطی سروکار دارند توصیه می‌کنم.

دوره نگارش آکادمیک به زبان انگلیسی یک دوره جامع ۲۵ جلسه‌ای است که با هدف اصلاح و افزایش مهارت نوشتاری دانشجویان و محققان انجام می‌شود. این دوره برای افرادی با دانش متوسط زبان انگلیسی طراحی شده است و بر تقویت مهارت نگارش متون انگلیسی با ساختار قابل قبول و منسجم که مطابق با استانداردهای سطح دانشگاه باشد تمرکز دارد.
🟢 اهداف دوره:
۱. افزایش مهارت در نوشتن مقالات پژوهشی و دانشگاهی.
۲. پرورش مهارت‌های تفکر انتقادی برای تجزیه و تحلیل مؤثر متون انگلیسی و ترکیب ایده‌های پیچیده.
۳. گسترش دانش واژگان و دستور زبان انگلیسی برای افزایش وضوح و تأثیر بیان نوشتاری
۴. ایجاد اعتماد به نفس زبان‌آموزان در نگارش متون علمی انگلیسی.
۵. ارائه راهبردهایی برای ویرایش و تصحیح متن برای بهبود کیفیت نگارش انگلیسی.
🟢 روش تدریس:
مبنای اصلی آموزش در این دوره، رویکرد یادگیری مشارکتی است که در آن زبان‌آموزان فعالانه در فعالیت‌ها، تمرین‌ها و بحث‌های مختلف شرکت می‌کنند تا درک خود را از مهارت نگارش انگلیسی افزایش دهند. برای تسهیل نتایج یادگیری بهینه، زبان‌آموزان موظف هستند تا به طور فعال در حداقل ۷۰ درصد مباحث کلاسی شرکت کنند.

This book offers a new edition, with English translation and commentary, of the Kitāb al-Madḫal, which opens Avicenna’s (d. 1037) most comprehensive summa of Peripatetic philosophy, namely the Kitāb al-Šifāʾ. For the first time, the text is established together with a stemma codicum showing the genealogical relations among 34 manuscripts, the twelfth-century Latin translation, and the literal quotations by Avicenna’s first and second-generation students. In this book, Avicenna’s reappraisal of Porphyry’s Isagoge is examined from both a historical and a philosophical point of view. The key-features of Avicenna’s theory of predicables are analyzed in the General Introduction and in the Commentary both in their own right and against the background of the Greek and Arabic exegetical tradition. 🖍 معرفی دکتر سیلیویا دی وینچنزو ( نویسنده مقاله ردپای کتابی گم‌شده دربارۀ قیاس شرطی در رسالة موجزة في أصول المنطق)
🟢 خانم دکتر سیلویا دی وینچنزو در سال ۲۰۱۸ دو دکترا در فلسفه از Scuola Normale Superiore در پیزا و در مطالعات اسلامی (مطالعات عربی و تمدن جهان اسلام) از École pratique des hautes études در پاریس دریافت کرد. او به عنوان پژوهشگر مهمان در پاریس (مدرسه نرمال سوپریور)، کمبریج، انگلستان (کالج ترینیتی) و آکس-آن-پرووانس (مرکز CNRS، مرکز پل-آلبرت فیور، آزمایشگاه "متون و اسناد مدیترانه باستان و قرون وسطی") فعالیت کرده است.
او در حال حاضر استادیار موقت (RTD-A) در تاریخ فلسفه قرون وسطی در IMT (ژوئیه ۲۰۱۹ تا ژوئن ۲۰۲۴) و استاد مدعو در دانشگاه کا فوسکاری ونیز است.
🟢علایق پژوهشی او عمدتاً به بررسی چگونگی انتقال ایده‌ها در دوران قرون وسطhی لاتین و عربی، به ویژه در ارتباط با منابع یونانی باستان آنها، معطوف است. در حال حاضر، پژوهش او بر درک نحوه برخورد عربی و لاتینی با حوزه‌های منطق ارسطویی که به متافیزیک نزدیک هستند، مانند نظریه کلیات، متمرکز است.

🎤 Lecture 23 - Visions of the End: Daniel and Apocalyptic Literature
🟢 Overview:
The Book of Ruth, in which a foreign woman enters the community of Israel and becomes great-grandmother to none other than King David, expresses a view of gentiles entirely opposed to that of Ezra and Nehemiah. Other prophets of the Restoration period are discussed, including Third Isaiah who also envisions other nations joining Israel in the worship of Yahweh. This period also sees the rise of apocalyptic literature in works like Zechariah, Joel and Daniel. Written during a period of persecution in the 2nd c. BCE the book of Daniel contains many features and themes of apocalyptic literature, including an eschatology according to which God dramatically intervenes in human history, destroying the wicked (understood as other nations) and saving the righteous (understood as Israel).

After a detailed explanation of the requirements for the paper assignment, Professor Hayes turns to the Writings - the third section of the Bible - and considers a recent approach to the study of the Bible, called canonical criticism. The books in this section of the Bible explore various questions associated with suffering and evil. An example is the book of Ecclesiastes which constitutes a second attack on the optimism and piety of conventional religious thinking. 🎤 Lecture 19 - Literary Prophecy: Perspectives on the Exile (Jeremiah, Ezekiel and 2nd Isaiah)

The destruction of Jerusalem challenged the faith of the nation. What was the meaning of this event and how could such tremendous evil and suffering be reconciled with the nature of God himself? Professor Hayes shows how Israel’s prophets attempted to answer this question, turning the nation’s defeat and despair into an occasion for renewing faith in Israel’s God. The lecture continues with an in-depth study of the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel’s denunciations of Jerusalem are among the most lurid and violent in the Bible and he concludes that destruction is the only possible remedy. Ezekiel’s visions include God’s withdrawal from Jerusalem to be with his people in exile, and his ultimate return. Ezekiel’s use of dramatic prophetic signs, his rejection of collective divine punishment and assertion of individual responsibility are discussed. The last part of the lecture turns to Second Isaiah and the famous “servant songs” that find a universal significance in Israel’s suffering.

🎤Lecture 17 - Literary Prophecy: Hosea and Isaiah
🟢 Overview:
The lecture focuses on the eighth-century northern prophet Hosea, a linguistically difficult book set against the backdrop of the expansionist Assyrian Empire. Hosea’s marriage symbolizes Israel’s relationship with God and serves to remind Israel of God’s forbearance and Israel’s obligations and pledge to loyalty under the covenant at Sinai. The second half of the lecture shifts to Isaiah and his emphasis on the Davidic Covenant, rather than the Mosaic one, a key distinction between him and Hosea. Themes in Isaiah include the salvation of a remnant, Israel’s election to a mission and an eschatology that centers around a “messiah” (anointed) king of the house of David.

چند نکتهٔ آماری جالب درباره سخنرانی سیلویا دی‌‍‌وینچنزو دربارهٔ برنامۀ پیشرفته هوش مصنوعی مطالعهٔ نسخ خطی منطق به زبان عربی که در دانشگاه هامبورگ در دسامبر گذشته ایراد شد:
تعداد نسخ خطی عربی - اسلامی، در حدود سه میلیون نسخه است، در حالیکه این تعداد برای لاتین سیصد هزار (۳۰۰۰۰۰)، برای یونانی ۵۵۰۰۰ و برای عبری تنها ۷۰۰۰۰ نسخه است و همین ضرورت سیستم جامع دیجیتالی و آماری هوشمند برای نسخ جهان اسلام را می‌رساند.
(احتمالا منظورشان از نسخ عربی - اسلامی، مجموع نسخ عربی - اسلامی، مجموع نسخ جهان اسلام یعنی سریانی، فارسی و ترکی است.)
پراکندگی نسخ خطی جهان اسلام (به طور خاص ابن‌سینا) در تصویر مشخص شده و ایران دارای یکی از بیشترین ذخایر نسخ خطی جهان اسلام است.
نکتهٔ بعدی بازهٔ زمانی گستردهٔ نسخ هستند که مثلا برای منطق ابن‌سینا اولین نسخه، متعلق به قرن ششم (که در ایران است) و بعدی مربوط به قرن چهاردهم هجری قمری است.

This book offers a new edition, with English translation and commentary, of the Kitāb al-Madḫal, which opens Avicenna’s (d. 1037) most comprehensive summa of Peripatetic philosophy, namely the Kitāb al-Šifāʾ. For the first time, the text is established together with a stemma codicum showing the genealogical relations among 34 manuscripts, the twelfth-century Latin translation, and the literal quotations by Avicenna’s first and second-generation students. In this book, Avicenna’s reappraisal of Porphyry’s Isagoge is examined from both a historical and a philosophical point of view. The key-features of Avicenna’s theory of predicables are analyzed in the General Introduction and in the Commentary both in their own right and against the background of the Greek and Arabic exegetical tradition. Readers shall find in this book the first systematic study of the Madḫal which, in addition to being the only logical work of the Šifāʾ ever transmitted in its entirety both in Arabic and in Latin, is crucial for understanding Avicenna’s conception of universal predicables at the crossroads between logic and metaphysics.

آیا آثار باقی‌مانده از ابن‌سینا ردّی از آثار اولیهٔ گمشدۀ او را حفظ کرده‌اند؟ این مقاله، متنی از ابن‌سینا که تاکنون نادیده انگاشته شده را در نظر می‌گیرد؛ فصلی «دربارۀ قضایای شرطیه»، در رساله‌ای با عنوان «رساله‌ای موجز در اصول منطق» (رسالة موجزة في أصول المنطق (که از اینجا ر.م خوانده می‌شود)).
شواهد جدید ارائه شده از فصل ر.م ی مورد بحث، منجر به خوانش متفاوتی از بازنویسی قیاس ارسطو توسط ابن‌سینا درکتاب شفاء می‌شود. در نهایت، سرنخ‌های بدست آمده از این دو کتاب [رسالۀ موجزه و شفا]، ما را به این اندیشه وا می‌دارد که ممکن است ابن‌سینا در واقع اثری درباره قیاس و قضایای شرطی نوشته است. از آنجا که ر.م تا به امروز تصحیح نشده است، تصحیح به همراه ترجمۀ انگلیسی فصل مربوطه در پیوست مقاله فراهم گردیده است.
✍️ یادداشت کوتاه دکتر بنفشه افتخاری درباره مقاله:
این مقاله از چند جهت حائز اهمیت است، از طرفی، خبر از یکی از آثار گمشدۀ ابن‌سینا می‌دهد که برای پژوهشگران می تواند سرنخ و انگیزه‌ای برای یافتن آن و شناخت بیشتر آثار منطقی ابن‌سینا گردد. از طرفی، این پژوهش از دل متن‌پژوهی مدرن درآمده است و برای دانش‌پژوهان به لحاظ روش و متد می‌تواند نکات مهمی داشته باشد. سوم اینکه این مقاله، فصلی از منطق ابن سینا از رساله‌ای که تاکنون تصحیح و منتشر نشده را در اختیار مخاطبان قرار می‌دهد. با این حال، چیزی که برای این‌جانب به عنوان یک نسخه‌پژوه جالب توجه است، شیوه تصحیح متن است که با روش استماتولوژی انتخاب شده است.
دی وی چنزو در برای تصحیح این بخش، سه نسخه‌خطی در اختیار داشته است. او توانسته یک نسخه که خودش آن را أ خوانده را در یک شاخه مستقل تبار از متن قرار دهد و دو نسخۀ ب و ج را در یک شاخه دیگر با نیای مشترک.
اینکه چگونه ب ج در یک شاخه قرار گرفته‌اند و أ در شاخه‌ای دیگر، از مطالعات توصیفی دقیق بدست آمده است. از جمله داشتن اغلاط مشابه که در یک شاخه تکرار شده‌اند. به زودی دی ویچنزو کل رساله را در غالب کتابی منتشر خواهد کرد که جزئیات تبارشناختی نسخ را در مقدمه‌اش فراهم خواهد کرد.
نکته جالب الگوریتم انتخاب بین متغیرهاست. الگوریتم بین أ و (ب یا ج) انتخاب شده است. یعنی أ و ب اگر مخالف ج بود یا أ و ج اگر مخالف ب بود. اگر بین دو شاخه کاملا تفاوت وجود داشته باشد، مثلا أ یک چیز و ب و ج یک چیز متضاد، آن زمان راهی جز بررسی محتوایی و کانتکس باقی نمی‌ماند.

🟢 Overview:
This lecture continues the discussion of the psalms, and the genres and forms in which they appear, such as psalms of praise and thanksgiving, divine kingship, lament and petition, blessing and cursing, or wisdom. Another poetic book of the Bible is the Song of Songs, an erotic work the sexually explicit content of which has been piously reinterpreted over the centuries. The second half of the lecture turns to the period of the Restoration when the Judean exiles returned to what was now the province of Yehud under Cyrus, the Persian ruler. The books of 1 and 2 Chronicles refer to some of the events of this time as well as the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. Ezra and Nehemiah are said to renew the Mosaic covenant with the Torah at its center, and to institute a number of social and religious reforms (including a universal ban on intermarriage that will ultimately fail) in order to consolidate the struggling community.

This lecture begins with the Book of Lamentations, a short book of dirges that laments the destruction of Jerusalem and moves on to introduce the third and final section of the Hebrew Bible - the Ketuvim, or “Writings.” This section of the Bible contains three books that exemplify the ancient Near Eastern literary genre of “Wisdom” – Proverbs, Job and Ecclesiastes. Proverbs reinforces the Deuteronomistic idea of divine retributive justice according to which the good prosper and the evil are punished. The conventional assumption of a moral world order is attacked in the Book of Job. The book explores whether people will sustain virtue when suffering and afflicted, and brings charges of negligence and mismanagement against God for failing to punish the wicked and allowing the righteous to suffer.

Micah, eighth-century southern prophet and contemporary of Isaiah, is discussed. Structurally, the book of Micah alternates three prophecies of doom and destruction and three prophecies of hope and restoration. Micah attacks the doctrine of the inviolability of Zion and employs the literary form of a covenant lawsuit (or riv) in his denunciation of the nation. Several short prophetic books are also discussed: Zephaniah; the Book of Nahum, depicting the downfall of Assyria and distinguished for its vivid poetic style; and the book of Habbakuk, which contains philosophical musings on God’s behavior. The final part of the lecture turns to the lengthy book of Jeremiah. This lecture introduces the literary prophets of both the northern and southern kingdoms. The prophetic books are anthologies of oracles the sequence of which is often determined by literary rather than chronological considerations. This lecture studies the literary features and major themes of classical Israelite prophecy as evidenced in particular in the book of the eighth-century northern prophet Amos. The prophets denounced moral decay and false piety as directly responsible for the social injustice that outrages God. While the Deuteronomist blames the nation’s misfortunes on acts of idolatry, the prophets stress that the nation will be punished for everyday incidents of immorality. The literary prophets counterbalance their warnings with messages of great hope and consolation.

The tension between covenant theology, emphasizing the conditional Mosaic convenant from Mt. Sinai, and royal theology emphasizing the unconditional covenant with David in his palace on Mt. Zion, is traced. Following Solomon’s death, the united kingdom separated into a northern and a southern kingdom (named Israel and Judah respectively), the former falling to the Assyrians in 722 and the latter to the Babylonians in 586. Analysis of the Deuteronomistic School’s response to these historical crises and subsequent exile to Babylonia is evidenced through redaction criticism.
