i like jaguar and i wanted to like this because every tasteless conservative on twitter hates it, so i said there must be something to it. my problem with it is not that it is electric or pink but that it doesn’t look inviting, comfortable, or luxurious, which is the sole purpose of a jaguar as they are notoriously unreliable. and although i’m told they’ve gotten better, they’re hardly at a place where they ought to be making the entire draw it’s gadgetry. even with a modern overhaul, a car should still carry over the spirit of its heritage, which is luxury and comfort. and yet here the seats looks like what i’d imagine it feels like to sit on one of those benches at the bus stop. it doesn’t have any lateral support for turns, so it’s not that it’s meant to be a performance car either. altogether disappoints.
