Happy Friday! Here’s what happened at Origin this week, in case you missed it:

🙂 Origin Token: Over 1 million OGN was bought back this week, bringing staking rewards on max-locked OGN over 40% APY. 5.6% of the circulating supply has been bought back so far, and an additional 39.4% of the OGN supply has been locked as xOGN to earn rewards.

🦋 Our new Borrow Booster markets on Morpho continued to grow. More liquidity has been routed to the OETH/USDC market on Ethereum, currently paying users 5.1% to borrow USDC. Net borrow rates on the superOETHb/USDC market are also negative, paying users 2.6% on USDC loans.

👻 Origin Ether: Three audits have been completed for OETH’s upcoming upgrade that improves staking efficiency and security. The upgrade leverages EIP-7251 and 0x02 validators to reduce operational overhead and pull Beacon Chain balances using Merkle Proofs instead of relying on external oracles.

🦾 Origin’s stETH ARM surpassed 500K ETH ($1.4B) in volume this week, demonstrating strong product-market fit as liquidity continues to deepen and usage expands. The ARM has become core infrastructure for the Lido ecosystem, with major LPs like MEV Capital and YO Protocol contributing capital to strengthen the stETH peg while earning strong yield.

🙂 Origin Token: Over 2 million OGN was bought back this week, bringing total buybacks to 38.5M OGN (5.9% of circulating supply). With all buybacks routed to OGN stakers, max-locked xOGN is currently earning 41.8% APY.

🦾 Origin ARM: We’ve started work on ARM expansion, with ARMs for new assets expected to launch this year. The Lido stETH ARM continues to attract deposits, crossing 8K ETH ($31M) in TVL while offering a trailing 30-day APY of 4.6%.

👻 OETH: The proposal to deploy Origin Ether’s new staking strategy has passed governance. The strategy introduces compounding validators and Beacon Chain merkle proofs for better security and capital efficiency.
