The way of the Church is love; it differs from the way of the legalists. The Church sees everything with tolerance and seeks to help each person, whatever he may have done, however sinful he may be.
I have observed a peculiar kind of logic in certain pious people. Their piety is a good thing, and their predisposition for good is also a good thing; however, a certain spiritual discernment and amplitude is required so that their piety is not accompanied by narrow-mindedness or strong-headedness. Someone who is truly in a spiritual state must possess and exemplify spiritual discernment; otherwise he will forever remain attached to the “letter of the Law”, and the letter of the Law can be quite deadly.
A truly humble person never behaves like a teacher; he will listen, and, whenever his opinion is requested, he responds humbly. In other words, he replies like a student. He who believes that he is capable of correcting others is filled with egotism.
A person that begins to do something with a good intention and eventually reaches an extreme point, lacks true discernment. His actions exemplify a latent type of egotism that is hidden beneath this behavior; he is unaware of it, because he does not know himself that well, which is why he goes to extremes.
Holy Martyr Arethas and 4299 Martyrs
Saint Arethas suffered for Christ along with 4299 other Christians in the sixth century. Arethas was governor of Negran, a Christian city in southern Arabia. The king, a jew called Dunaan, had resolved to eradicate Christianity entirely. He laid siege to Negran and told the citizens they would die unless they denied Christ. The citizens closed the gates, and Dunaan resorted to a ruse. He swore an oath that he would not force the city into judaism, but would merely collect a tribute. The warnings of Arethas went unheeded, and the gates were opened. The bloodthirsty king summoned 95 year old Arethas and killed him and then indulged in a riot of butchery through the town. He told the inhabitants of Negran, "I merely want that you do not believe in Jesus Christ." More than four thousand men, women, and children confessed that Jesus Christ is God the Word, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, Incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and were martyred.

Having followed Christ, O Varus, you drank from His chalice. You received the crown of martyrdom and exult forever with the angels. Never cease to intercede before the Lord for our souls.
Varus of Egypt is the only saint to whom Orthodox Christians can pray for those who died unbaptized, for suicides, atheists and people of other faiths. They pray to him for the health of infants and young children, as well as for alleviating the plight of the souls of infants who died in the womb or during childbirth.
Brothers are we committing suicide to our souls?

We know resorting to earthly suicide results in no salvation (or very little chance of).
.
However, our daily habits, speech, and actions build up to what we are. Does it not?

If we spend our days in anger, we will be angry.
.
If we spend our days in passion, we will be overcome with lust.
.
If we spend our days in sloth, we will be gluttonous.
.
Not only do our actions harm us, they harm those around us to. Our loved ones. Our children, wives, peers and so on.

Very similar to our physical suicide , our spiritual killing is even more common. And as the physical death does, the spiritual death rots those around us.

Let us be better men, my brothers, for we all can and must be better.

It seems that the system is soon going to have to choose between supporting Israel, or continuing the mass replacement with hostile anti-white invaders.
They've been doing both for a while now, but it is starting to reach a point where they are now facing serious trouble with the two positions clashing and causing problems.
By replacing whites, they've inadvertently diluted the white evangelical element of this country, without total support from which, the nation of Israel would probably evaporate within a short time. Not only have they diluted the one demographic that support for Israel comes from, they've replaced it with one that sympathizes with Palestinians.
They've kind of put themselves into a self defeating lose-lose situation it seems.

A Christian must not be fanatical; he must have love for and be sensitive towards all people. Those who inconsiderately toss out comments, even if they are true, can cause harm.
I once met a theologian who was extremely pious, but who had the habit of speaking to the secular people around him in a very blunt manner; his method penetrated so deeply that it shook them very severely. He told me once: “During a gathering, I said such and such a thing to a lady.” But the way that he said it, crushed her. “Look”, I said to him, “you may be tossing golden crowns studded with diamonds to other people, but the way that you throw them can smash heads, not only the sensitive ones, but the sound ones also.”
Let’s not stone our fellow-man in a so-called “Christian manner.” The person who – in the presence of others – checks someone for having sinned (or speaks in an impassioned manner about a certain person), is not moved by the Spirit of God; he is moved by another spirit.

As more time goes by, I am starting to think that the disease behind so many of our symptoms (criminality, animosity between the sexes, the decay of dialogue, the more war-like dimension of politics, racial hatreds, pornography, cam girls, etc.) is that our love has grown cold. We have ceased to see others as creatures loved by God, and have come to see them as objects for our manipulation, or, if they cannot be manipulated, elimination. There is a vast chasm between the lives of the saints, who we are all called to emulate, and the worldview being promoted in our cultures.

According to Holy Scripture and the writings of the Holy Fathers, there are several important requirements of godly women/wives:
* devoutly worships and follows Christ
* joyfully submits to her husband and obeys him
* follows her husband's lead in spiritual matters
* shows excellence in housekeeping
* loves her husband
* loves her children
* is of a meek, gentle, and quiet spirit
* does not seek the attention of men
* demonstrates proficiency at taking care of children
* exercises complete chastity (virginity) before marriage
* makes herself sexually available to her husband after marriage
* agrees never to use any form of contraception
* dresses modestly, and is not preoccupied with fancy hair, makeup, clothes, or jewelry
Many of these qualities might seem unimportant or irrelevant for a girlfriend. But for a godly wife, all of these qualities are crucial.
Seek for the rare gem of a woman who exhibits these qualities, and you will have found a good wife. When this happens, don't waste time. Marry her.

Mother Cornelia Rees is an American - she grew up in a Protestant family in Indiana I think - who became Orthodox about 35 years ago and long since has been a nun in the Russian Church in Moscow. She does a lot of the English language translating for OrthoChristian.com
She’s obviously well versed in both secular American and traditional Orthodox Christian culture.
She has astutely pointed out that many American women simply have difficulty letting men be men… difficulty letting men lead. Many American women have no idea how to let men be men.
Often this stems from women being treated like crap or abused by their dads or other men in their lives - so some if it’s understandable, I guess. Some of it is cultural…. in that for the past 30-40 years, it’s common for American women to be taught from a very young age that they’re being weak (and stupid) if they let men lead.
Yet at the level of the soul, the woman wants the man to lead.
Tough scenario all around.

Once they took my blood. There were four doctors. The first one comes, he examined me, he could not find a vein. The second one is coming, the same… The third one is coming, who was also specialized in this nothing…
The fourth doctor was passing by at that time. She saw that I was being examined and she came to try. She made her cross first and immediately found a vein, because she asked for God's help!
