I know the feeling .. I’ve built businesses from the ground up - it’s hard as nails - especially in crypto - but Osmo has been - I wasn’t sure after last bull how the project would survive but here we are - that speaks volumes imo

Once inflation stops, the token won’t be inflationary anymore.

Some protocols burn Osmo too, 3.2m burned so far. With no inflation and burning->deflationary

We're at just over 9% inflation now, so we'll be down to 6% in just over a week.
Then there is some tidying up to do that should make the actual inflation about 5% before we review it more

Staking rewards come from a few sources, there's inflation, transactions fees and taker fees revenue which is mostly a buyback+distribute.
We should be able to get sufficient security from just the last two, but as the headline Apr drops (12%) stake may unbond despite the net yield after inflation being the same.
We don't want the security of the Osmosis chain to fall too much compared to assets secured so have to be careful about reductions if it results in unbondings above normal levels.

About 10% of the 12% comes from inflation. So we'll see staking rewards of about 8-9%

Original idea was Osmosis inflation is cut by 1/3 yearly. This happens in June.

Last year I believe it was cut by 2/3 and it will not get cut this year. Could be wrong there though and always subject to governance decisions
