Why politics is pointless is because in order to win as a politician you have to appeal to the masses and create a divide in society.

Why do the rich owe anything to the poor just because they are better?

I understand that there are really poor people who need help. That’s what taxes are for in general.

But the politicians don’t care about the poor. They just give them enough handouts so that they never complain and instead hate the successful.

In any game, if you can cheat, there are people who will cheat. That’s what politicians are. All of them.

This is why corruption exists in every system, and will continue to do so.

If I’m a politician who gets all the tax money and it is upto me to allocate it, what is stopping me from keeping “some” aside for myself?

The issue is that this “some” money is taken out at every level of the system.

By the time the money reaches the poor, barely any is left.

The politicians are smart though.

They just make the rich to be scapegoats and say “these rich people should be doing more for society”

The rich and successful already do. They pay a fair tax. Sure there are legal loopholes to reduce it, but if you look at the statistics, it’s 80-20.

80% of the tax is paid by top 20% of rich people.

The problem isn’t the rich, but the corrupt system.

But the biggest problem of all is the laziness and entitlement and victim mindset of the masses.

It’s not possible for EVERYONE to be rich. I get that.

However, it is possible for ANYONE to be rich.
