Читать полностью…Samidoun is circulating the following press statement by Bassem Naim, member of the Hamas Political Bureau, in response to what the Washington Post published yesterday about US officials regarding the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip and a prisoner exchange:
Yesterday, the Washington Post published a report regarding the ongoing ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.
According to the newspaper, US officials stated that during the last week Hamas has presented in new conditions to mediators concerning the release criteria for Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Israeli captives.
These new conditions, the official claim have poisoned the negotiations -- which had already stalled due to Netanyahu's new demands. In light of this we would like to clarify the following:
First, we appreciate the US official's acknowledgement that the negotiations have stalled due to Netanyahu's new demands.
Second, Hamas has not presented any new conditions to the mediators neither on the issue of prisoners nor on any other matter. The movement reaffirms its commitment to what was agreed upon on July 2nd of this year, which was based on President Biden's proposal and the UN Security Council Resolution number 2735. We are ready to immediately negotiate the implementation measures for this deal.
Third, regarding the criteria for release of prisoners, we would like to emphasize that the movement has shown a great deal of flexibility to reach an agreement that protects our people. For example while Hamas initially demanded the release of 500 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for each Israeli female soldier, the movement later accepted the release of only 50 prisoners
for each soldier.
However, it is important to point out that Netanyahu, in his new conditions regarding prisoners' release has backtracked even on the standards he presented in his proposal at the end of May this year. He now seeks to impose new conditions that would strip the agreement of the prisoner deal of its substance, turning it into a futile prisoner deal.
Fourth, instead of evading responsibility by fabricating lies about new conditions from Hamas the US administration should pressure Netanyahu to retract his new demands and move forward with the immediate implementation of the agreement reached on July 2nd.
Fifth, an agreement or proposal that does not include a complete withdrawal from the Philadelphia Corridor, reopening of Rafah Crossing, the safe return of displaced civilians to their homes, a serious prisoner exchange deal, relief for our people, and reconstruction of the destroyed Gaza Strip will not be acceptable.
The US administration will bear full responsibility for the failure of these negotiations to achieve their objectives if it fails to exert pressure on the Zionist government to stop its aggression against our people.
Thank you very much.
Jordanians in Al-Ramtha distribute sweets in celebration of the operation of Jordanian martyr Maher Al-Jazi at the Karameh crossing, which killed three zionist soldiers.
The operation came to avenge the blood of the Palestinian martyrs, the latest in a series of operations by Jordanian martyrs and prisoners at the Karameh crossing, including by the martyr Raed Al-Zouaiter in 2014 and female prisoner Sona Al-Ra'i in 1997. It also follows the long line of resistance in the Al-Jazi family, where Haroun Al-Jazi led Jordanian volunteers in the battle to defend Al-Quds in 1948 and Mashhour Al-Jazi, who led the Jordanian army in the 1968 Battle of Karameh.
Three weeks ago, Hezbollah released a video of Imad 4, an incredible underground missile facility that was overseen by martyr Imad Mughniyeh.
These capabilities were not built overnight. They are a culmination of decades of struggle against the enemy. Guided by the Quran, truth and justice, the resistance was able to grow "stronger than at any time since its launch in the region", as quoted by Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah. The 80s Hezbollah fighter stands parallel with the resistance fighter of today, stationed in their vehicles, with their pointed weapons ready. Building on yesterday and today, the resistance of tomorrow will continue to fight and undoubtedly be stronger, braver and bolder than ever before.
🚨 Ministry of Prisoners and Freed Prisoners in the Gaza Strip:
—
The daily revelations of images, reports, and testimonies gathered from released prisoners about the conditions of Palestinian prisoners inside the prisons and detention centers of the occupation only show a small part of the horrific and grim reality of the continuous and relentless killing, torture, brutal abuse, and terrifying violence they endure, far beyond imagination.
The occupation government, under the supervision of extremist Ben Gvir, has turned these prisons and detention centers into death chambers and torture facilities, employing the most heinous methods of cruelty, in complete violation of all principles of international and humanitarian law.
We renew our urgent call to international institutions, human rights organizations, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to play an active role in putting an end to these horrific practices against the prisoners, and to ensure the enforcement of international and humanitarian law in their treatment, including allowing visits and monitoring their conditions.

The Democratic Front condemns the assassination of American activist Aysenur Ezgi by the "israeli" army using American-made weapons in Beita.
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement today, strongly condemning the assassination of Turkish-American activist Aysenur Ezgi, who was in solidarity with the Palestinian people, particularly farmers, against the attacks by the "israeli" army and settlers on Palestinian farmers, their lands, and properties. The assassination occurred as Beita residents confronted settlers and occupation forces on Jabal Sbeih, which the occupation has been attempting to seize for several years.
This crime brings to mind the killing of American activist Rachel Corrie in 2003 in Gaza, as she stood in solidarity with the Palestinian people under the tracks of an "israeli" bulldozer, also American-made. Similarly, today, the Turkish-American activist was killed by an American weapon, with the occupation attempting to instill fear among those in solidarity with our people by treating them no differently than Palestinian citizens, deterring them from participating in solidarity actions, especially as we approach the olive harvest season. This year's harvest comes amid a vicious campaign by the occupation army and settlers in the West Bank, continuing the campaign of genocide that began in Gaza.
"Israel’s" impunity for its crimes and aggression, and the ongoing provision of weapons by Western countries, especially the United States, amount to complicity in the aggression. This encourages the fascist occupation government to commit more crimes against our people and land without restraint, extending even to free activists, regardless of their nationality, even Americans. If it weren’t for U.S. support, "israel" would have long been forced to recognize our national rights.

🚨 Zionist warplanes are launching a series of intense and violent airstrikes with missiles targeting the outskirts of the towns of Froun and Srifa in southern Lebanon.
At least 14 strikes have been reported on the Srifa-Froun valley.
Our prisoners will be liberated.
Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obeida said after the Freedom Tunnel Operation in September 2021, "If the heroes of the Freedom Tunnel freed themselves this time from under the ground, we promise them and their families that we will soon liberate them from above the ground. The jailers will open the doors of the cells themselves."
Mahmoud Al-Aridah—icon of resistance:
Known for his wisdom, knowledge, and determination, Mahmoud is a leader with extraordinary willpower. A Saraya Al-Quds commander in Jenin, he possesses unmatched determination despite his life sentence and nearly 30 years in prison, continuing his march of resistance from his cell.
In his 2017 book, "Reality and Aspirations," Mahmoud wrote, "God will not ask you why you did not win, or why you did not succeed, but why you did not try."
Mahmoud instilled this characteristic determination into all prisoners he interacted with. You can be free. You will be free. Mahmoud insisted—insists—on liberation.
Mahmoud led the resistance in secret in his hometown of Arraba, home of heroes like martyrs Sheikh Khader Adnan, Tariq Izz El-Din, and Abu Ali Mustafa. Even after his imprisonment, he continued to lead resistance.
He studied Gilboa prison while he was in Shata prison, where he previously attempted an escape tunnel in 2014. When he got to Gilboa, Mahmoud and others decided to liberate themselves.
One of the heroes of the operation dreamt months before their liberation: the Prophet Muhammed was standing in the plains of Arraba, where okra fields stretched far and wide. Many of the plants were dying. The Prophet said to harvest it, even if old. Some refused, but the hero harvested without hesitation, questioning why the others hesitated. The hero advanced forth with faith and trust in his victory, anticipating the one to come.
"We will never regret the sacrifices we made for our people and rights. We chose the path of jihad and Palestine with love, belonging, loyalty, and faith because we are the rightful owners of the cause, and defending our land is a legitimate right and duty. Every day that passes in prisons strengthens us with power, faith, steadfastness, and determination to continue the path of the martyrs with our people until we are liberated from the occupation."
The enemy's prestige had been broken once again, by a tunnel whose strength rivals a military arsenal.

We in the Follow-up Committee confirm that the zionist enemy will not be at ease on our land, and will not settle into a position as long as there are free people and revolutionaries in our nation who reject injustice and aggression, and confront challenges to fulfill the duty of brotherhood and blood.
Glory to the martyrs of our people and nation.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
We mourn the heroic Jordanian martyr, Maher Thiyab Al-Awdat Al-Jazi, from the city of Ma'an, Jordan, the executor of the exceptional Al-Karama crossing operation that resulted in the killing of 3 zionist occupiers. He fulfilled his duty to his religion, Arab identity, and nation, undeterred by restrictions and borders.
The operation of the heroic martyr Maher was an expression of the true will and spirit of the nation, yearning to support Palestine and liberate it, shackled by the constraints of regimes and normalization agreements.
This blessed operation comes to shatter the illusions of normalization with the zionist enemy and to dismantle attempts to normalize the existence of the cancerous zionist entity in the heart of the nation. There is no place for the usurping entity on any inch of our nation's land; its fate is pursuit, expulsion, and demise.
The criminal enemy and zionist settlers must realize that their crimes against the innocent and defenseless, and their continuous attacks on holy sites, will not go unanswered by the free and honorable people of the nation. They should expect more painful strikes.

We commend the heroic operation at the Karameh crossing between Jordan and occupied Palestine, which resulted in the killing of 3 zionists and the martyrdom of its executor.
The jihadist operation expressed the bravery and faith of its executor in the Palestinian cause and reflected the popular sentiments toward the genocide crimes.
This operation affirms that the zionist enemy will face difficult days as long as it continues its aggression and crimes against the Palestinian people.
The blessed martyrdom operation is but a minimal and justified response to the zionist killing machine and its U.S. support.
The Jordanian Youth Gathering to Support Resistance:
—
The victorious Aghwar operation renews the memory of the Battle of Karameh and the long line of martyrdom that stretches from Kayed Mufleh Al-Obaidat to Saeed Al-Amro. This operation is the truest expression of the people's pulse, and its martyr is the martyr of every Jordanian home.
This morning, one of the heroes of the Jordanian people carried out a heroic and victorious operation this morning against the occupation soldiers on the zionist side of the King Hussein Bridge, which connects Jordan with our occupied lands in the West Bank. In light of this victorious operation, the Youth Gathering for Supporting the Resistance confirms the following:
First: This heroic and victorious operation, which resulted in the killing of three zionist soldiers before its executor ascended as a martyr, is a new chapter in the continuous line of martyrdom written by the blood of Jordanian martyrs. From the martyr Kayed Mufleh Al-Obaidat, who achieved martyrdom during the first revolts in Palestine during the Nabi Musa season in 1920, to Saeed Al-Amro, who attained martyrdom during the Knife Intifada in 2016, along with the thousands of martyrs of Jordan and its Arab army who passed while fighting the zionists in Jenin, Al-Quds, Al-Khalil, and Karameh.
Second: This heroic resistance action is the truest expression of the Jordanian people's conscience and their unwavering belief in resistance as the path and approach to confronting a treacherous and sinful enemy that engages in successive wars of genocide against our brothers and people in occupied Palestine.
Third: This operation targeted military objectives at the border point that separates the West Bank and cuts off our connection with our people and brothers on occupied land. It is an operation that possesses all forms of moral, national, Islamic, and even international legitimacy. The Jordanian government is required, at a minimum, to refrain from condemning it and must demand the return of the body of its heroic martyr.
Fourth: On March 10, 2014, members of this same military unit killed the Jordanian martyr, Judge Raed Zouaitar, and diplomatic tools did not lead to any results regarding his murder. Today, this operation serves as the fair and decisive response to that crime.
Fifth: The movement of goods and people between Jordan and the occupied territories is a natural human right for the people living under occupation and is not a gift or favor from the occupation. The fact that the occupation has chosen to assault and impose its control over this right does not exempt it from being targeted. In fact, its military teams tasked with this duty remain legitimate targets.
Finally: The Youth Gathering renews its call: the people want to overthrow Wadi Araba [Jordan-zionist peace agreement]. This is a demand that has been expressed through every popular means of expression, from protests and sit-ins to patience in the face of repression and arrest, to resistance and martyrdom today.

These were the words of Ismail Ashour back in November 2023, who ascended to martyrdom today along with six others after the IOF bombed a group of Palestinians on the roof of the Shehadeh family home in Nusseirat camp.
In the first month of the war alone, 18 of Ismail's family members were martyred after being displaced in the southern Gaza Strip, including both of his parents, his sister, his cousins, his nephews and nieces, and his sisters in law. To Aysenur...
Today, 26-year-old Aysenur (Aisha Noor) Eygi ascended to martyrdom on the land of Jabal Sbeih in Beita, south of Nablus. On this land are its defenders—the night confusion units, the solidarity activists, and the allies who rally together in defiance of the illegal outpost of "Evyatar" every week.
After Friday prayers, the familiar confrontations began. The IOF immediately deployed their usual colonial violence: tear gas, live bullets, and smoke. Two shots rang out fired; the first hit a young man in the thigh, and the second hit Aysenur in the head. She was deliberately shot by a single bullet from an IOF sniper, a bullet and weapon provided by the country where she travelled to Palestine from, America.
Aysenur heeded the call to #SaveBeita, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the land's defenders, becoming the 18th martyr to ascend on the land of the town since 2020. She didn't come for recognition, but for justice, driven by the same fire that burns inside all of us who believe in liberation.
Aysenur was like many of us: politically active, compassionate, driven by justice. She graduated from UW Seattle just three months ago, donning a kuffiyeh and roses on the day of her graduation. She was active in the student encampments, participated in reading groups, and showed up for the community. A beloved community organizer, she worked with all her efforts to end the genocide and for the oppressed, no matter where the struggle took her.
Like Rachel Corrie before her, she organized in the state of Washington before standing on the frontline in Palestine, putting her body between the oppressor and the oppressed until her ultimate sacrifice.
Her blood will not be forgotten, and the blood of our martyrs will not be in vain.
Glory to the martyrs.
On September 4th 1982, resistance fighters captured eight zionist soldiers, leading to the largest prisoner exchange in Palestinian history.
A month after zionists decided to step foot in Lebanon, Palestinian fighters vowed revenge. In the mountains of Bhamdoun, southern Lebanon, four fighters of the Jarmaq Brigade of Fatah monitored the movements of zionist soldiers. Issa Hajjo and other fighters wore fake zionist-backed Lebanese Forces uniforms and carried their stereotypical AK-47s.
Hajjo walked straight to the zionists, speaking French to deceive them and shaking hands with zionist officers. Suddenly, he aimed his gun at a Sergeant Cohen, who immediately surrendered. For all the planning, the operation was quick, as the other three fighters quickly ambushed the other unprepared soldiers. Without firing a single bullet, eight IOF soldiers had been captured.
The Fatah fighters did not need the evacuation vehicles they had prepared, and they simply walked away pretending to be a joint IOF-LF patrol. Hours later, the Syrian-allied PFLP-GC facilitated the transfer of the prisoners; they kept two prisoners while six remained with Fatah and were handed over to the Jarmaq Brigade's commander, Mahmoud Al-Aloul, who today serves as the deputy head to Mahmoud Abbas.
Soon after, Fatah made a number of demands, initially rejected by the zionists. The tides turned once the zionist prisoners' health situation deteriorated and it was revealed that PFLP-GC had an extra prisoner.
In November 1983, the zionists agreed to the prisoner exchange demands: all 4,600 prisoners in Lebanon were released, 65 prisoners in "israeli" jails were released (including 52 with life sentences), and the archives of the Palestine Research Center were returned. Further, three years later, the PFLP-GC exchanged its three prisoners for 1,150 Palestinian prisoners, in a deal led by Ahmed Jibril. This deal led to the freedom of Hamas leader martyr Ahmed Yassin, PIJ Secretary-General Ziyad Al-Nakhaleh, and resistance fighter Kozo Okamoto.

Jenin, unbreakable, bids farewell today to 22 martyrs who illuminate the skies of Palestine
Jenin and its five neighboring villages began today to bid farewell to 22 martyrs, the shining moons of Palestine, granting it hope for victory and greater steadfastness in resisting the occupation, despite the deliberate killing and destruction of infrastructure aimed at not only the resistance fighters but primarily the popular base of resistance, attempting to weaken their support and isolate them. This is part of the occupation’s plan to subdue our people and resistance in favor of its project to annex the West Bank and block our struggle for full independence.
Jenin, Tulkarem, Nablus, and other West Bank governorates, as well as the steadfast Gaza Strip, through their resistance and the legendary perseverance of the Palestinian people, send a message to the occupation, its complicit Western backers, and the Arab regimes that have capitulated, even to the point of partnering in the aggression, which has grown fiercer over the past year since the Al-Aqsa Flood. The message is clear: After nearly a century of colonial domination and 76 years since the founding of the occupation state, the Palestinian people have proven they cannot be exterminated. Their destiny is to achieve complete independence. The occupation state will not succeed in exterminating our people as European settlers did to the indigenous people of America or as they partially succeeded in Australia and New Zealand.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that our people, who have been engaged in the struggle for more than a century and who rose from the ashes after the Nakba of 1948 and the defeat of 1967, are capable of sustaining the struggle against the occupation state, inflicting political defeats, economic losses, and damage to its international standing, until it recognizes and yields to the rights of the Palestinian people. Our people deserve courageous and resolute political leadership that matches their bravery, resistance, and steadfastness. This will only be achieved through the restoration of national unity, for which the recent Beijing Agreement is a faithful expression.

🟢 Hamas:

The actions of the occupying forces and the Nazi prison administration in humiliating Palestinian prisoners in "Megiddo" Prison, using police dogs to insult and terrorize them, reflect the depth of hatred and sadism carried by the zionist jailers towards Palestinian prisoners, and the brutality of the measures taken against them, as approved by the extremist terrorist minister Ben Gvir.
These crimes are part of the savage practices of the occupation against our prisoners in the prisons, including torture, abuse, starvation, deliberate medical neglect, and deprivation of all human rights. The number of martyr prisoners has exceeded 60, who have passed due to neglect and brutal torture.
We call on international human rights institutions and the International Committee of the Red Cross to document these practices, and other horrific crimes committed against Palestinian prisoners, and to take urgent actions to pressure the occupation government and its war criminal leader Netanyahu to halt their blatant violations of international laws concerning prisoners, and to hold the leaders of the occupation accountable for their ongoing crimes.

📝 Via Al-Mayadeen, an exclusive letter from Mahmoud Al-Arideh, the mastermind behind the Freedom Tunnel Operation that took place two years ago today:
—
The parties to the disputes in occupied Palestine must stay on heightened alert and be wary of the Israeli enemy's schemes, Operation Freedom Tunnel hero, prisoner Mahmoud Al-Aridah said in a letter he sent to Al Mayadeen that was released on Wednesday.
The Palestinian prisoner said he "saluted our great people and our valiant resistance in Palestine, its victorious brigades, and the Axis of Resistance from Tehran to Baghdad, passing through the Levant (al-Sham) and the great city of Beirut."
Al-Aridah held the Palestinian factions responsible before history to avert another Nakba afflicting the Palestinian people.
"The Israeli occupation continues its settlement project and the Judaization of Al-Quds in order to build its alleged temple," the Palestinian prisoner added in his letter.
"The Israeli enemy believes that the Palestinian status quo, coupled with the absence of an Arab and Islamic role, allows it to achieve its goals, primarily through killing, demolishing, land confiscation, and violations against the captive movement through constant pressure," he wrote.
The mastermind behind Operation Freedom Tunnel told the people of the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 to be wary of the Israeli project that represents an existential threat to them, stressing that the occupation has the goal of forcefully and voluntarily displacing them, confiscating Palestinian territories, and putting restrictions on residential compounds so as to prevent them from expanding.
"The daily killings, which are seeing an uptick, are resulting in a victim in every home, and thus, the civil war becomes a matter of time, and it will only end after thousands of deaths, deportations, and displacement," Al-Aridah underlined.
"In recent years, we have begun to witness internal migration to the refugee camps and cities of the West Bank. It is slow, but it will accelerate soon," he explained.
"I tell the Palestinian youth: Wake up... stop the infighting. Reclaim your identity and memory. Turn to the churches and mosques. Break the barrier of fear of religiosity," the Palestinian prisoner said.
Concluding his letter, the Operation Freedom Tunnel hero said: "Our message to our resistance in Gaza and Iraq (the descendants of Hussein): Our lives have dwindled away in prisons, but the enemy finds solace in us, gloating over our suffering, believing it has achieved its goals in the prisons."
"We look to you to put an end to this humanitarian tragedy that has gone on far too long," Al-Aridah added.
