Polkadot NFT XCM, unleash NFT transfers between parachains, natively and trustlessly.
XCM is widely used in the Polkadot ecosystem to transfer fungible tokens between parachains. However, transfer of non-fungible tokens or NFTs was complex, until now.
Unique Network in collaboration with Acala Network have performed first XCM NFT transfer from Quartz to Karura and back.
XCMv3 already supports NFT transfer functionality, however it has challenges in developer experience. Unique Network will deliver tooling that can be eased by adopting standards, implementing new XCM instructions.
This proof-of-concept was done as a part of the Polkadot NFT XCM proposal initiated by Unique Network and that has been approved by the community. The 1st milestone is already delivered.
