Microchimerism usually happens through pregnancy or infiltration of sperm into the somatic tissues of a vagina.
A study concluded that over 60% of women harbored male microchimerism in their brain after being autopsied (R).

Telegony is where the offspring inherits characteristics of their mother's previous sexual mates.
