Cat’s Eyes

I lurked in the shadows, I observed and I waited. The kids leisurely strolled by on the sidewalk, going from door to door on Halloween night, not knowing I was there.

I watched them all with the keenest of cat’s eyes. It was my duty to watch them all, especially the ones who were alone.

I could feel the tension building.
